I am not happy working my current job in a factory. I would love some ideas for different types of jobs that would make use of my current skills and education. Please pass along any resources you might have in relation to these jobs. I have worked as a cashier, customer service rep, wood worker and hotel desk clerk. I have a Supervisory Mangement Certificate and have taken some computer and accounting courses. I have also raised animals all my life and worked on a dairy farm. I also enjoy four wheeling, snowblading and generally being outdoors. Maybe there is a job that allows me to four wheel all the time haha!
Thank you!

I'm a good test taker and have been doing very well so far in undergrad. I hear if I pass it, earning potential and job opps will go through the roof. How long should I study? When should I take it? I am a finance major and plan to go into an investing field.

In my case the smart thing is to do nothing. The right thing is to speak up.

My employer has set up a new recognition program that is biased away from the blue collar workers, and even the salaried people whom work close to them (myself). We are forced to set in on these stupid ‘town meetings’ while awards are given to people that do a marginal job. The employee handbook does not state that the meetings are manditory.

I usually take vacation, on the days of the meetings, because I can hardly control the urge to say something rude out loud. I really want to say to management that the system is creating a ‘hostile work environment’. Company policy says they have to make good my complaint. At best they will excuse me from the meetings and ask me not to encourage others to do the same. At worst they will escort me out the door.

I have voiced my opinion to many of my co-workers, and most feel the same, but are afraid to come forward. I am also afraid that one day I will be called up the receive one of the awards. I would be devastated with embarrassment because the award has been completely invalidated.

I need to find a job. Easy huh?

I have a few years experience working with children of all ages and abilities in an educational setting and a similar number of years working in the retail environment. I have worked as a Learning Support Assistant, Learning Mentor (working with behavioural problems and main stream GCSE students) in the Educational sector and within RetaiI I have worked at different levels including Assistant Manager. I'm an easy-going, hard working, intelligent young man, but have always gone for work that is rewarding and enjoyable. Unfortunatley this means low pay (don't know why, it's hard work!), so now I'm looking for work that pays enough for me to pay my debts off quicker and have a life for a change. I have looked on all the job sites I can find and even junior/trainee positions are looking for a minimum of 12 months experience, which confuses me. I am now stuck, I have come to the end of my contract and am struggling to find a new job. What can I do?

I'm putting this here because I'm try to get managers and business owners opinions on how they would react to an employees desire to switch gender roles or to an interviewee that was in the process of switching. How would that effect your treatment of them with respect to their job or potential job? How supportive would you be of their switch? What you you do when you found out? (As in do research, fire them, etc.) I know that seems like a big question, but as a transsexual planning on entering the business world after college soon, and I would like to get the opinions of some people already in the business world.

Thanks!

We want to go to North Carolina where we will be happier and have more opportunities. We have some things figured out, but will need to save up 3 or 4 thousand dollars. What do I do? I need to get out of here!!!
