I hold in home wine tastings and purchased my kit for $99 which includes Business materials( catalogs, brochures etc.), 18 cute wine glasses in a carry case for the tastings, accessories for the business (wine opener, stain spray, 5 bottle wine carrier etc.) I make great money with this business and have paid for my kit many times over. When you find a business that really interests & motivates you, that is a small price to pay. Good luck!

Avon is usually fairly cheap, like $10-15, but I don't know of any free ones. The deal is, you are buying all the "sample" items they send you to display. This way, the company isn't out any money on the people who only want a bunch of free items.

If you have ever considered joining a top quality company like Pampered Chef or PartyLite, but were concerned that the markets were too saturated, this is a very exciting opportunity for you. Southern Living At HOME launched on January 2, 2001, so we are at the “beginning” of an already great company! With Southern Living we have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor, as well as the support of an established industry leader!

Owned by Time Warner/AOL, we are a new division of the company that publishes Southern Living Magazine, Cooking Light, Health, Coastal Living and the Oxmoor House books. I have had an excellent response to Southern Living At HOME due to the impeccable reputation of the magazine alone!

3.What is my income potential?
You will earn an immediate 25% profit on all of your party sales. You will earn 2-9% royalties on the sales of anyone you sponsor and the royalties start with just one recruit. Most companies require three to four recruits before you earn any royalties. Most consultants who just do parties earn between $500-$1000/ month. That requires about 20-30 hours of work each month!!!! How easy is that?

4.What kind of training and support is available?
You will receive, with your starter kit, an easy-to-read Business Guide with a fun-to-watch training video. You will always get personal guidance and training from me as your sponsor and coach. There will be company monthly newsletters, toll free number to customer support for consultants only, local and national meetings, and a free website/workstation with daily updates company wide.

The starter kit is a low $199 plus tax and shipping. It includes over $500 worth of products, and $300-$400 in business supplies and training materials to get your business started. 6.How do I replace my paperwork?
SLAH has a wonderful program in which 5% of all your party sales will be put into an account for you. This 5% is in addition to your 25% commission and is not taxable income. From this account, you can replace order forms, catalogs, invitations and all the paperwork you need to keep your business running. In essence, your business supplies are free.

7.Am I responsible for the hostess rewards?
NO!!! SLAH covers all of the hostess benefits with no out-of-pocket expense to you.

8.What are the costs for credit card fees?
SLAH also covers the cost of processing all credit card fees. You don’t need a credit card machine either. You will enter the customer’s credit card number right onto the workstation, and the company covers all of the fees. If the customer’s credit card is declined, the company will also take care of that with no penalties to the consultant.

9.Do I need to purchase costly software?
Absolutely not!!!!!!!!!! You just need a computer with internet availability. SLAH provides the software. With all of your work done on the computer, you are free to enter your orders at your leisure.

SLAH offers the opportunity to all consultants and a companion to earn two free trips a year to fabulous resorts that are breathtakingly beautiful. We want you to earn an income, and we want you to keep that income!!! We want you to keep family first while doing so. It is that simple.

12. Am I required to keep inventory?
Absolutely Not!!!!!!!!!! We are a non-inventory business. Keeping inventory is discouraged. We have an enormous warehouse in Calera, AL. that stores all of our products. Products are shipped straight to the hostesses’ homes and then she delivers them.

13. Am I required to make deliveries?
No. All hostesses are responsible for delivering their party orders. Most hostesses will either deliver the orders or have a pickup day at their home for their guests to receive their products. The shipping time, once a party has been ordered, is approximately two weeks.
