I work as the cashier at a restaurant and I'm the one on packs up the take out orders. Anyways, the kitchen staff sometimes gets the order wrong and all my coworkers scold me in front of the customers. It's so embarassing!! Even if I tell them it wasn't my fault, they still blame me because all of them are friends with eachother and I'm new. I would quit, but that's not really an option for me right now. Any advice on how to handle this?

To those of us that have been in the workforce for a few years now- how do you deal with that co-worker that constantly talks about NOTHING,shares there personal business (bathroom info like I needed to know she poo'd 3 times already because of a raunchy muffin) with you, stares @ you if you don't respond to there babbling about nothing, is intrusive and just plain annyoing (and I get the pleasure of being sandwiched between 2 of them) I am already on the fence about my job and want to quit, and I thought being transfered to a new role would help, well it's not much better!!! I am trying to learn my new role which is completely new to my company so there is so much to learn and no one is helping me and then I have to contend with 2 nosey nellies!!!!! Where does the line get drawn? for me it was when i had to find out about the bathroom issues. I mean seriously how do you handle this professionally?
HELPPPPP!!

Ok, I have applied for a sonyma mortgage in New York state and I was wondering how long it takes to actually receive a commitment letter stating that they will fund you or not. (My banker who is licensed to do sonyma mortgages just sent out the package with all our tax statements, income, dirvers lisc, ect) to them..Via fed ex...but I am so anxious as to how long this is going to take? The offer is already in for our home and our banker said we should close within 30-45 days but I heard they move like slugs at sonyma. I just want to be able to foresee any unknown delays or experiences anyone has had with them/ and or if you know the process going forward from here? Thanks a bunch....and please no smart answers. Thank you kindly

My mom and I were talking today about home buying vs home building. My mom thinks it's a great idea to buy land now and then talk to a Contractor about the type of home I want to build (which is a good idea). Because I am undecided whether I want to buy or build, I suggested to go to a contractor first, get an estimate on how much the home plan I am interested in (assuming that I already have the land). will cost. The reason I don't want to buy land now is I am not sure if I could build a home on it because the cost of housing in my area is going up tremendously. Which one do you think is a better idea?

Specifically I need a format and wording to use. I was informed in writing that my wages would be garnished for failure to repay student loans. I am filing an appeal citing the fact that 15% garnishment of my income would lead to financial hardship for my family. But I have no idea where to start to write the appeal.

Thanks in Advance!

I committed a bank robbery in 1999 and served 31 months. The mgr where I now work, after hiring me with knowledge of my record, harassed me for sex from the first day until he was fired.
( I'm also male ) After 2 yrs, the new mgr knows I would have a hard time finding employment, therefore works the snot out of me and for PEANUTS. I have put in many applications and realize it's hard to answer this question about my record without sweating. I feel compelled to be honest because to lose a job for dishonesty or for any other reason would be a major set back. While in prison, I earned a degree and I'm paying back the money. The amazing thing is, I see people without records doing crazy stuff because they know no one is watching them, not realizing how close they are to ruining their life. So? What could I say to an interviewer inquiring about my background?

A friend of mine is in a unique position to have his house (mortgage) paid off by his parents. Question is, will there be any tax issues?

If my friend makes monthly payments to his parents (that is, should his folks essentially become the mortgage company), would this allow a way to legally avoid tax (or other) financial penalties?
