I'm applying for a job in a call center. The lady read my resume and it says that I'm working as a cashier in a water refilling station. Then, she asked me how am I going to relate my previous job to a call center. It's obvious that there's a big difference if you're going to compare it. How am I able to answer her question?

Is 1 year long enough to work somewhere if it does not pay enough or do other HR departments look down on that? What if you had perfect attendance for that year?

I am buying many electronics these days, and I found circuitcity.com has good sales now, so I purchased many products from there.

Then now I find Amazon.com has really low price than others.
They are new and same product.

How can Amazon.com be so cheap? Anyone know?

HI I am looking to make some extra money each month, I work full time so I am not lazy but need a little more money. I've tried payout services like reading emails but they gave me trojan viruses! I work for a small construction business. My boyfriend's family owns it and he also works here (he is expected to take it over soon). (He and I have a future planned together). I started in January of this year. I make ok money but need to be making more. Bottom line - I work my as* off for them. I work from 6:30 am to 5 pm M-F. I have taken over almost all of the office responsibilites. I have been expecting to be "promoted" and make more money since when i was hired i was told that i would be assisting my bf running the company one day. Now - they are bringing in a General Manager and being sneaky about it. I feel like I have alot to offer a company - i have a good business sense. Why are they doing this? I basically am the General Manager - so why are they getting someone else to do it after all i have learned and already know? What do I do? I am very upset about this......

I work part time at a cafe near where i live. However, i can't seem to do anything right. The other staff are always moaning at me that im doing things to slowly, even though they give me too many things to do in a short amount of time. They can also be really bitchy about everyone. Its only casual work, as and when they need me but i hate it so much, ive been making of excuses not to go. I don't really need the money, and am at school full time but it gives me something to do in the holidays. Also, i need this experience to apply for other jobs in the future. I am looking for another job, but there are none where i live. What should i do? Please help!

If I buy 100 shares of stock and then sell a call and buy a put with the same strike price I should earn the risk free rate. Is this always the case though? Is it possible to find stocks whose calls are overpriced relative to it's puts allowing you to yield more than the risk free rate?

I've been debating with the idea of going out on my own - or continuing to work under someone else. My thoughts have leaned towards opening a school supply store, which would carry everything for students/teachers both. I live in a very small town - the only decent store we have is Wal-Mart. I used to be Asst. Mgr of a dollar store here, and alot of the parents/teachers/students would come in complaining because they needed to complete a project, or just needed one more thing off their school list, and Wal-Mart didn't have it. So, they would have to drive 40-60 minutes just to get what they needed. I think this idea would take off in a small town that's centered around its children and education, and it would be helpful to the parents as well. How do I get started? I have NO idea!!

I'm going to turn 14 in a few weeks. I have no problem getting a job or anything, but my mom wants me to work cleaning my aunt's house and other stuff. I want to wait until my birthday so I can get my working papers (I mean its only a couple week ) but my mom is going nuts saying that I'm so selfish and that I need to pay for ALL of my clothes, summer camps, sports equpment, etc. Is she being irrational or is it me?

I am currently paying on a car that I have had for two yeas. Now that I have a family expenses are getting tight and I realize that I can't keep my lovely car. I am currently one month behind with the second payment coming up on the 15th making last months 30 days already :( I don't really have great credit it's fair shall I say. Do I sell it but if I sell and pay it off with what I owe and can't finance again even for a cheaper car because of my history with this car. Or do I repo it .
