i think its better done than having the regret for the rest of ur life abt not doing it. and if they r loved ones then they will support u and help u get through this tough time

I presume that you mean an oversea assignment. 3 years is a long time and anything can happened. If I will to have a choice, I hope that my love one will support me to fulfill my dream.

I never leave them behind. I will bring them along if possible, otherwise I may just give up my dream. This is part and parcel of life, sometimes you have to make such a decision.

Does your love one know about it? I dun know wat is your decision at the moment but I think you should share this with them. From there onwards the decision is all yours.

I won't tell you not to go for it, but I wouldn't. I would make every possible effort to take my husband with me. We were apart when he was doing his military service - we met every month, though- but it felt so frustrating. Life -and young life especially - is short, 3 years is a large percentage of it if you think about it.

Sumtimes we have to... it has to depends but i believe 3 years can pass very fast plus he/she can come back for a few days...

I think if it is for a further studies why not... for career maybe u can even move there with him :P

Yes, I have done that. And I moved 10K miles away. Now we are married and have a kid. So if you love each other distance is not an issue.
