I'm applying for a job in a call center. The lady read my resume and it says that I'm working as a cashier in a water refilling station. Then, she asked me how am I going to relate my previous job to a call center. It's obvious that there's a big difference if you're going to compare it. How am I able to answer her question?

It's really not a big difference. Customer service is the same from one to the other. Being able to help people and solve any issues that arise in a timely manner carry from one job to the other.

Explain that your current job requires you to deal with customers in a curteous, friendly manner, just like a call centre would. Tell her that you sometimes have to deal with upset or difficult customers, and that your ability to manage the situation and leave them feeling happy with your service is similar to a call centre.
