I have just finished school and need to go get a job... I'm not good at math in my head AT ALL, and I know the kind of job I'm gonna get is gonna have to be working with a cash register, most likely... I have like a phobia of working with a cash register because I'm so worried it'll mess up or something and I'll have to do it all in my head, which I wouldn't be able to do, at all. How easy is working with one? and how likely is it that I'll end up having to do the math in my head?

I had an employment interview last Wednesday, I thought everything went really well. Today is Monday and I havn't heard anything. Should I contact by phone the person or person(s) that interviewed me to see what their decision was, should I email them, or should I just wait?

This apartment is currently lived in, with the occupants having a one year lease that is not set to end for 11 months. The realtor is showing the apartment despite a sign that asks them not to and when the resident is not home.

I would like more info on how filing for bankruptcy is done? My husband an I have alot of debt. I hurt my back in 2004. We paid for medical bills using our credit cards thinking I would be able to get back to work in no time. With him the only one working at the time we kept using the credit cards to pay for my meds and now we are at our limit and he has been let go from his job he had for over 10 years. This isn't the first time they let him go but this time its for good. While we are waiting to hear about unemployment and if it will go threw we have little cash and lots of unpaid bills. We don't know where to begin an losing hope fast. Has anyone been threw this and found a way to pay off debt or lower the interest rates? We are wanting more into on filing for bankruptcy and if we don't own anything "put up our car to pay off some of the medical bills" how does filing for bankruptcy work? Do you have to pay the money back after you file? After 7yrs will we ever have a good credit?

I do not have a mortgage, the loan officer told us to cash out to reduce the amount of the loan for the mfd home. How does cashing out equity on land or even homes that are owned free and clear work, I need help!

Okay, two answers I don't need:

1. "Dedication and commitment". I've already got them, and I've been working steadfastly over the past year, contributing all that I can to my payments. I've eliminated all spending from my life that I possibly can. Now I need to find how I can accelerate the payoff.

2. Smart-*** responses. I'm genuinely asking for tips or tricks that have worked for others. (i.e., good ways of increasing income, companies that can help reduce debt, etc.)

I've been in a debt whirlpool for the past 3 years because I was never educated against it. Now I'm trying to crawl back out of this hole.

Any more tips I might have missed? (-and yes, I am a homeowner, but I've only owned it since November of '05)

Thanks...

Why would the 2nd richest man in the world give his money to the foundation of the 1st richest man in the world, which already has the largest endowment of any foundation in history? Buffett's pretty damn smart, and I'm sure that he knows that there are better ways to give money away than super concentrating it in one place.

Does anyone have any additional insight on this, aside from what we've heard at the press conference that they had?

Can you apply at a clinic and take vitals with a CNA or is that certificate strictly for Nursing Homes and Hospitals, I'm questioning because the degree program I was interested in required that you have a CNA. Although now that I have it I thought I should put it to use this fall and was inquiring about what other positions I will be able to apply for other than a patient/ resident care assistant

I'm a recent honors graduate from an accredited business school. I had a good gpa, graduated top of my class in Finance, and have a decent gmat score. My wife and I are moving to Austin, Texas so she can pursue a PhD at UT in psych. My problem is finding a good job away from NYC. I would love to pursue a career on Wall Street, but the PhD is blocking me for a few years. My internship opportunities as an undergrad were incredibly weak and geared toward sales. My passion is in trading (as was my primary focus as an undergrad), but I have yet to find a job that will lead me to a path as a trader. I get tons of phone calls about sales jobs. They can hire anybody for sales. I have friends with sales jobs for banks that have degrees in chemistry and health science. I do not want a sales job. I need something that is challenging, fast paced, intellectually stimulating, and exciting. How do I find a trading job away from NYC and in the area I desire?
