A friend of the family recently passed on and left the house to me and three other people. We are trying to sell ASAP being that none of the parties are interested in living in it. We have a cash offer on it -hopefully this will go ahead with no problems. What costs should I be prepared for?? does anyone have any information sites to suggest??? Thanks so much.

I was looking at a cd rate sheet and the 13 month cd has a $500 min deposit. The annual percentage yield is 5.38, and the interest rate is 5.25%. It says compounding and crediting for the cerificate is added/paid monthly. How much will I have at the maturity date if I start with $500.

for selling people's stuff on Ebay. Don't laugh, I've seen these stores around where people can bring stuff in to sell for a commission. It has to be enough to cover the costs of selling it and a fair percentage to keep for myself.

You need to make 6.6% before you are even...
this is what some one said...and it doesnt make sense to me..
so you are investing 30,000...even 5% of that is 1500$ which is way more that 20$ that you broker charged you, right? Anyone

If you miss work due to doctors orders and have a slip from the doctor, can your employer make you use sick or vacation days for those? I was under the impression that if your doctor says you can't go to work, it's out of your control.

Ok, I am 14 years old and have been babysitting for 3 years. I am certified in First Aid and CPR and I live in a small city in Washington. I can't seem to find a good rate; I always seem to be rating to low and making the parents very very pleased or rating to high and making them angry...so what do you guys think would be a good rate for me?

Do they help you establish credit? I'm 20, and in the past two years I havent been able to get a credit card because I have no credit (which is something that I really dont understand, but thats not the point) would one of these help me?

Also, if they do help you establish credit, how long after getting a pre-paid card should I wait to apply for a real credit card?

I'm 23, I work in the casino business as a poker dealer. Most of my co-workers all have degree's of somesort. One has a bachelor's in biology, another has bachelor's in geology, a couple of them have bachelor's in communications. They all have degree's but they don't have job's in their field. One of them actually has a chemical engineering degree, and he worked as one for 8 years but he quit because it was too boring, but he said it was good money. I know it depends on what field you get your degree in, but i'm not sure what I want to do. any ideas? I'm halfway through school, should I finish?

I just got a prepaid credit card to help me establish my credit. Its seems like a better option to just "load" how much money you want on your card, but has anyone had any problems with it such as making hotel or rental car reservations? or do you know if its a pretty good card?
