for selling people's stuff on Ebay. Don't laugh, I've seen these stores around where people can bring stuff in to sell for a commission. It has to be enough to cover the costs of selling it and a fair percentage to keep for myself.

i'd guess, and it's only a guess because i dont know what is involved, about 10%. however, i learned a long time ago from a real wise man that you should charge what YOU need to stay in buissness, what YOU want to make it worth your while, and dont be concerned with what others do or what the going rate is.... if you cant make a living at the "going" rate, if your not happy with the amount others are getting.....than whats the point ??? ask what you want / need, no more no less. this is some of the most usefull advise anyone has ever given me.

I think most of those places take about 10% commission off the SALE price plus any fees involved in listing the item. This is slightly less than say, an auction house's commission which is usually 15-20%.

You, make money - its a per item cost under $50. say is you time worth $10 n hour. Items over $50 cost + 10%. Do not work for cheap.

Locally people charge 10%-15%

10% - 20% sounds about right becuase of your time & effort & listing fees
