The true details are:
1) The office manager openly plays favorites
2) The office manager changes the rules on a case by case basis to best suit her favorites
3) The office is moving to a location that is just too far for me to drive (I now drive 40 minutes one way on a good day. The ride would be AT LEAST an hour one way to the new location.)
4) The owners of the company lie to clients and play games with them, then blame employees when something blows up in their faces (ok, sometimes we mess up when it comes to who was told what lie, but dishonesty has never been a strong point of mine)

So, how do I tell my reason for leaving without lying and without sounding "disgruntled" by telling the truth?

I'm looking to spend $1000 in stocks, and was wondering if anybody can suggest a good investment company (long time, not short time investment). Would you say that i'd be better off investing in funds?

I'm getting out of the Army and want to train for a job that I can do almost anywhere in the world. I like to travel and don't want to be forced to rely on the US economy.

I've thought about training to be a helicopter pilot or Unix System Admin and would like other choices to consider.

Please help, especially if you have prior experience in the career field.

PS. I have the GI Bill which is worth approx. $40,000 for schooling

I entered an oral agreement to do some basic editing work. The employer and I had talked about roughly 400 dollars, perhaps more should the work prove to be more demanding. However while he admitted being satisfied with the final results, his dispute with me now is over my method and as such he refuses to pay. I want to know what my options are to get my money, more as principle, as the arguments he is making are not legitimate but really stall tactics, he’s made it clear he has no interest in paying me now. (I'm in Canada if that makes a difference)

I will soon begin a part-time job hosting/waiter. Unlike my full time job, the bulk of my income on that job will come from tips. How do all of you handle this during tax season? Will my employer require that I let them know the total amount of tipis I make, even if I only claim a certain percentage? Do you have to report the entire amount on your 1040's? Thanks

It's not really THAT bad, unless you are me. I was applying to a job that was paying $10-$15 an hour and they only wanted 1= to 2 years experience. I have about 5-6 years experience and only want a full-time job if it is going to pay REALLY good since I will have to put baby in daycare and, for this job, drive about 20-30 miles everyday. Well, I was asked what the LOWEST amount I would accept for pay and I just said...."Absolute lowest would be $18,000/year" I thought for ANY job! I screwed up my chances of getting paid what I should be getting paid.
This interview was with agency hiring for the company and I have an interview with the Co. on Tuesday. I pretty much have the job....I hope(I worked for them before at a different store) but what do I do to fix this? I need at least $13.00hr to go back to work that far from home. Should I email the guy and say I said too low? please give me some suggestions.
