You always take the job, and then call the other interview and let them know that you have an offer on the table and ask them if they are interested in matching it.

In Canada, only an employer is required to give any formal notice of termination. My suggestion is to take the job which is offered first. Should a better offer come along, at a later point in time, you will then have the option of determining whether or not to accept it. You may have become comfortable with the first job, and not be willing to change, even if the money is better with another offer. By doing this, you eliminate the risk of being unemployed (if that is the case) while you are waiting for something better to come along (which may or may NOT happen). It may not be the "nice" way to do things. But it is a fact of life, in business.

You take the job. I've always worked under the"bird in hand is worth two in the bush theory." You say thanks and tell them when you can start (after the Monday interview) There's a chance that you might not be offered the next job and if you say no, they might hire someone else. So, I would say yes and then go to the Monday interview. If you get that job, then tell the other employer that you thought it over and it wasn't the right place for you and thank them for their offer.

Did you ever hear about the "A bird in Hand is better then two in the Bush" comment? Take the job that is offered, do not wait for a maybe.
If the difference is really great, go to the other interview anyway and if you get the job, quit your existing one. YOU come first in this life

First thing that comes to my mind is that you call the job and ask whether or not it is still available...I think that would be the easiest and straight to the point solution. Then, if they say they havent hired anybody yet, when you go to your next interview (for the other job) and they decide to hire you, you talk to them politely that you are still waiting for another answer. But I strongly suggest to take the first offer that you are given.
Hope I helped you..
P.S...you might find interesting articles about interviews (since you are having another one soon) at http://interview.monster.com/archives/

You tell them you want to think about their offer. Give them a time when you will call and that should be OK.
If they think they have to have you they may raise the pay on the spot to get your answer before you leave, but this would be unusual.

Tell them you will need to have one week to decide, being that you have several offers and will not settle to quickly and make the wrong choice.
Also be positive and motivated in the interview, use you body language to win the interview.

I would tell them that you need at least a week to make a decision. You do not want to get started somewhere, if you can make more money with benifits somewhere else.
