I have a question. I would like to say that I'm African-American, and I believe that this will help in trying to help me. When I apply makeup, it looks fine and even when I'm looking at myself in the light. However, when I taking pictures using a flash, it looks as if I'm wearing a mask that's lighter than my skin complexion. It almost looks as my face has an ashy look to it. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem.

I had the makeup professionally applied by a makeup artist, and I subsequently bought the right shade of color.

Could it be the way that I'm applying? Does anyone else have this problem?

My 14-year old daughter has dark circles under her eyes all of the time. She gets plenty of sleep and I don't think anything stressful is going on in her life right now. She has tried using concealers and foundations to cover the dark circles, but nothing seems to work. Why does she have them in the first place, and how can she get rid of them?

I am interested in trying some of the Sheer Cover brand makeup. I am not much for wearing makeup as I really don't don't like the heavy feel. I would like something that is very natural looking and easy on my sensitive skin. How does this brand work ? How does it feel on your skin? Is it worth the price? What would you rate it on a scale of 1 to 10? Thanks for your replies...

It's not like my eyebrows are terribly thick or anything, but I want them to look nice. What is the best way to shape your eyebrows at home? I would like to stay away from plucking, because I get bored and it almost never works out. If you can help me... GREAT!

ok so:
My mom is really cool but when it somes to make-up she's kind of stuck in the 50's, if you know what I mean. I'm twelve and really want to try make-up, just as long as it's light and actually does something for me. I have red-gold hair that goes to my butt, pale skin with a creamy complexion, light blue-green eyes, and super-light eyelashes. I want to enchance my eyelashes with mascara (black looks terrible and unnatural, so I need something besides black), add a little more color, show off my eyes, add a some more fullness to my lips, and make my hair shine. Any suggestions would be amazing!! Thanks!!

My nails are usually long and strong except during cold weather. Unfortunately, they have a tendency to snap right off. I've had acrylics, but they don't look like a natural nail and have to have nail polish applied. I want something that will let me have long nails but be able to go without polish or with just a coat or two of clear.

ALL my skin is extremely fair, but my face is very slightly darker than my body, due minor sun exposure which we all have. (I'm NOT a tanner or a sun-bather by any means, and I'm sooo careful about protection, hats, etc!)
I wear minerals (which does prevent that "line" of demarcation), but I do try to match my foundation to my neck (I even test it on my inner wrist, which is also extremely fair). Honestly, if i *didn't* match it to my neck, there would be a weird color gap between my face & neck.
But should I be matching it to my face instead? What do you think?
