I wear black Kohl pencil to line my eyes at the top and on the inner rim of my eyes. After an hour or so its always smudged or faded. How can i keep it in place?

I am doing a "How to properly apply make up properly"presentation for 4-H! It is maditory! I also get a grade on it! Is there any tips you can give me or anything! I wear make up everyday, but I still need tips for this! I do not know how my friend applies it or what type she wears, she is the one I have to put it on, she has blonde hair, blue eyes, natural pale skin tone! We are both 13, she is 5'7 or 5'8!
