Spots are just grease coming out of the pores. People will buy all kinds of lotions and put all kinds of stuff on their face, but never actually address the issue:

To stop your face being as greasy you need to wash more. I mean properly, 2 maybe 3 times a day. Rinse your face with warm water, then soap, then warm water again thoroughly, then cold water to help close your pores. Do this whenever your face feels greasy. This will get rid of surface grease.

Also, what you put into your body, has to come out again. If you eat a lot of fast-food and unhealthy garbage, then it will come out as grease through your skin - you can't get around that. So a healthier diet will help. Less fatty things.

Previous answers of drinking more water is true, and so is putting toothpaste on overnight to an extent. It helps dry it up the spots. But I never used to like doing that - you're covering up your skin and stopping it being able to breathe.

Make-up is a big problem for this reason. You put some on to hide the spots. Then because the face is covered and blocked under makeup, any grease coming out forms more spots...you then put on more make-up to cover it etc. etc. You may want to consider going without skin make-up for the days leading up to the party to let your skin breathe and calm down.

If you have a fringe, cut or keep that away from your face. Hair may be good at hiding the spots, but it's also great and trapping the grease behind it and making it worse.

You won't be able to find some magic potion or food you can eat that will clear it up in 2 days flat. If there was one, don't you think every single teenager in the world would know about it? Wouldn't they be selling it in pharmacy's worldwide by the crate?

You'll just have to take a brave and mature step, and take those sensible ways listed above to help stop the spots.

When it comes to the party, whether you have spots or not, it won't really matter. Whilst spots aren't great, if you've got a nice face and they like you for your personality, then the boys will be interested. Everyone's smart enough to know spots are a temporary thing. If you havn't got a nice face unfortunately, spots or no spots won't make a difference.

Just be happy with who you are and confident at the party. That will also help.

Don't pick at them! They'll end up as scabs you can't cover with anything.

Pop to the chemists and pick up a behind-the-counter spot cream called Panoxyl 5. Rather than being a flashy 'aimed at the kids' style of spot cream, it's actually the one GPs give on prescription.

It costs about £8 and clears everything quickly.

Enjoy the party x

DON'T USE TOOTHPASTE!! PLEASE!! It just covers up the spot and stops the skin beng able to breathe and heal.

Instead use the new product from the neutrogena range - its fantastic!

And definately do not keep washing your face if you think its getting greasy - thats such bad advice! If you keep washing your skin, it will dry it out which will cause it to secrete more oil and causes more spots.

Getting out in the fresh air also helps to clear the skin, and avoid smoky areas.

If all else fails...Maybelline dream matte mousse works wonders!

Enjoy the party...!!

try not to stress for a start, spots can be caused by stress.

try to keep ur face clear of make up ( if thats possible for us girls) it'll let ur skin breath.

drink plenty of water, it'll stop ur skin from getting dehydrated.

try putting toothpaste on the spots over nite, it'll dry them out.

cleanse, tone and moisturise twice aday, with something like "simple" prducts, they are natural products and wont cause more spots.

try to keep to healthy diet.

try blemish sticks aswell they will treat affected area.

and if none of that helps, a good cover up foundation and concealer

good luck!

Wash your face with a face wash for spots, do a face mask with it. Then scrub your face and then use a zit-zap stick.
Don't use make up and wash your face every now and then.
Remember at the party, it isn't what is on the out side that counts and to smile (no one will notice your spot if you have a gorgeous smile on)
