ALL my skin is extremely fair, but my face is very slightly darker than my body, due minor sun exposure which we all have. (I'm NOT a tanner or a sun-bather by any means, and I'm sooo careful about protection, hats, etc!)
I wear minerals (which does prevent that "line" of demarcation), but I do try to match my foundation to my neck (I even test it on my inner wrist, which is also extremely fair). Honestly, if i *didn't* match it to my neck, there would be a weird color gap between my face & neck.
But should I be matching it to my face instead? What do you think?

oh, and the problem with what i've *been* doing is that my face can look almost artificially too light (or is that b/c i'm just used to seeing it dark, without the makeup?). plus i kind of have to pile it on to lighten the skin, and that's never good. :(

I think you foundation should match both. You want to get so that your skin tone is even all throughout. You do not want a dark neck and light face or vice versa. So try to aim for eveness! Hope this Helped!

Yes, it is normal. If you look around, most celebs and news station hosts have pinker and lighter than their normal skin tone. In my opinion, the lighter the brighter! If you use a foundation that is darker than spot-on correct to the tone, it just looks dirty and darken the face when the face should be the main focus of the body. Thus, the brighter the better, and the lighter the brighter.

i would try to find one in between the color of your neck and you face that way you face doesn't look too light and so you dint have that noticeable of a difference between your neck and your face. i hope this helps and good luck looking
