Makeup - September 2006

I need a red-orange lipstick to match my Homecoming dress (I'm going for the 1940's look) but the color I bought looks trashy and pinky.
It's Revlon 725 Love That Red but it isn't matching with my skin or blending at all. What can I do to tone it down and make it look more 1940's?

i have very greasy skin and my eyelids are no exception,they are worse!i love wearing eyesahdow and eyeliner but it always creases of escapes to my eyelids...is there any way that i can get rid of this.also if i used skin toner would that help?

Ok I have small,light blue/grey eys how do I make them look bigger. Also how do you curl your eyelashes and put on mascara, eyeliner, adn eyeshadow. I understand why girls with pale skin would want to wear makeup but why do women of color wear makeup? I am a latina who is 19 years old who never wears makeup because I already have color and don't need it. I get hit on alot by guys. I am beautiful without makeup because of my my ethnic background. It bothers me to see some women of color wearing foundation because it is only going to mess up their natural beauty. Anyone else agree???

I apply moisturizer first, the liquid foundation, then the powder, in the morning, and by 2 30, I look cakey, oily, dry and flaky all at the same time. I've used several different brands, so it's not a matter of brands.

You know how there are the shadows that are close to your skin tone but they may be a little shimmery and they highlight the brow bone? well, which one would be the best for my skin tone? THe tone of my skin is close to my avatars if not a little lighter(not by much though). I'm going for a natural look with a glow to it. I don't wear a lot of make-up either so nothing to expensive.
