I understand your problem. A woman can't live without makeup (at least some) so at least we can be smart about it.

1. Use good quality skin products to keep ur skin healthy, eg Clinique or Estee Lauder. If u have greasy skin i would recommend the latter.

2. Use good quality makeup products, my ONLY recommendation is M.A.C. Always use a primer or base before applying makeup, both for skin and eyes, and a good foundation/concealer. This also helps the makeup from 'running'. And apply loose powder over them to 'set' it in place.

3. For the greasy eyes, maintain a good eye care routine (they have special eye treatment creams/toners-don't use skin toner on eyelids as it may be very strong for the thin skin on the eyelids), apply primer and concealer before eyeshadow, and after aplpying eyeshadow apply loose powder to set it in place.
M.A.C has a good range for primers, concealers and loose powder.

All the best :)

I have this problem too. I've noticed the Mac eyeshadow stays on no matter what but Mac can get expensive. Before putting on other brands of eyeshadow, brush some bronzer or powder foundation on your eyelids. That will keep the oiliness away and the shadow will stay. As for the all over facial oiliness, I use Mac Blotting Powder in conjunction with Almay's 3 part system (facial soap, toner and oil control moisturizer) for oily skin. Good luck!

I had same problems until my niece went for a professional makeover & was told about eyeshadow base or primer. You really have to search high & low to get this but once you do, you will never put eyeshadow on without it. I use Vital Radiance (big Drug stores). First, never use moistureizer on your eyelids in the morning. Wash face, moisturize skin, put foundation on lightly (not on lids) blend base with damp sponge but don't touch lids. After this, take a tissue & blot your eyelids & then apply a small amount of eyeshadow base lightly * blend. I use my clean finger (no creams, foundation, etc on fingers!) & then apply eyeshadow. After eyeshadow line the eyelids & then apply mascara. The last thing I do is use colorstay lipstick, gloss & cream or dry blush. Don't touch your eyelids afterwards. Drug stores sell makeup remover sticks that look like Q-tips but have a flat end & a pointy end. They are great for correcting eye makeup mistakes. Try them--they're cheap & great. I don't think putting a very light coat of clear, face powder on to set it is necessary & a deffinite not if you are over 40! It only makes dry, older, wrinkled skin (like mine) worse. My makeup stays on all day & I use facial makeup remover sheets to remove it at night. I use either Ponds or Olay replacement makeup remover small sheets.

Use a face wash made 4 oily skin. Dab powder on your lids before applying shadow & try 2 buy a crease proof shadow.
This should help. Avoid cream shadows
