I started wearing a foundation with lipstick to balance in 6th grade (about 12 years old) to cover pimples. (I was the only girl in my class who already had periods. NO fun in gym class!) I was in the middle of the Baptist Belt, U.S.A., and my mother was called in to talk with my teacher about my make-up use, even though both were natural colors.
Mom sent a note saying that I wore it with her consent, and not to waste more of her time over it.
Anything that clogs your pores or irritates your skin will cause blackheads, whiteheads, and more pimples. Cover Girl that I know of makes a medicated foundation. Almay and Neutrogena would be other safe choices.
Look for a water-based foundation if you have oily skin. Powder-based foundations will be more apt to cause pore blockage. Avoid oil-based foundations. Cream based will be kinder to oily skin than most powder based foundations.
You might consider daubing tinted creams as a concealer on blemishes if that is why you want to wear make-up. If not, ask cosmetic company representatives what would be best for your skin type, and ask girls a little older than you who wear make-up what brand works for them.
You'll get your best guidance from someone who has just recently been there, tried that.

Hi
I think its great and loads of fun experimenting as a teenager with make-up.. everyone has their own styles.. and you see what suits you and love it.. as for the breaking out in spots , most teenagers get spots, not because of makeup just because they are teenagers. But always remove your makeup before bed as this will cause a build up of dirt on your face which will cause breakouts. Hope this helps and enjoy experimenting xx

Me ? teenager . . . avoid foundations ( clog pores ) and take a clue from Angelina Jolie . . . most beautiful women DON'T wear much makeup. Just a little lite eye color and lip gloss. Your real girl beauty power is in your personality.

i started wearing mek up after my 13th b-day.
but it really depends on the make up. good brands of makeup not only make prettyer, it also treats ur skin.
like there's this mascara that moisturaises. and maybelline foundation makes ur skin smoother
so it really depends on what type u buy ;)

Um, well if you use shitty brands like NYC, Covergirl, Wet and Wild, then yes, probably. But if you use good brands like Chanel, MAC, Clinique, then no, probably not.

you will if you don't cleanse your skin before and after you apply. also neverr fall asleep with makeup on, you won't want to see your skin in the morning.
