To even out your skin tone purchase a good concealer. like the one Victoria secret has in there very sexy line. Make sure the concealer is the right shade for you. Ask for help in the store. Also get a nice nude lip gloss, and some great mascara. That's all you need at your age. Less is more. Don't wear to much make- up often because it ages your skin. Enjoy your natural youth-full beauty while you can. Have fun with make up. You can change up your look a little with a little eyeliner and a great eyeshadow to off set your eyes and outfit. Mac makes some great eye shadows. Good luck!!!

Start with a tinted moisturizer. It's very light yet covers blemishes. Sometimes you really need to go to a makeup counter at a department store to get good colors. It can save you money in the long run because you can try different shades and colors before you buy. Then you can go to Target or something and buy the same thing only much cheaper. Don't let someone make you over though if they look like a clown themselves. MAC is very good as is Bobbi Brown. Expensive but worth every penny.

Were I You, i would stay away from foundation unless going out at night...as the face is a pallet of sorts...then you can apply a bit of foundation and some blush and mascara....I recommend amethyst for eyeshadow....and sparingly at that....for a daytime look...fore go the foundation....you do not have blotchy skin....do NOT hide your beauty....use a bit of mascara...NOT the waterproof kind....begin with the tips...it will give that thicker look. then wait a couple of minutes...concentrating on the lower lashes while the upper tips dry...then back to the top....then let stream the wand to apply the mascara.......many types to choose from I prefer lancome...it is pricey at $22.50 per tube...and I like their 'Intencils' brand of Lancome...tried and true now for many years. Though if you like, at 18 you CAN use maybelline....but follow the instructions I gave.....I think what you want is a bronzer...it is most fetching and ALWAYS go down the nose to thin, or give the impression of true sun...then upward on the cheeks.....dash on the chin and hon you are now the Belle of the Ball!Use a light balack eye pencil...nothing extreme...and then amethyst eye shadow only at the very ends at the top....a bit more for the evening...There you go!!!!!!

Don't use foundation. If you want, after applying an oil-free facial moisturizer, brush on some loose powder with a powder brush, then use a blush brush to put some color on your cheek bones. Eye make-up is fun to experiment with, and it won't hurt your skin like foundation can. If you have pale or undefined eyebrows, color over them lightly with an eyebrow pencil that's the same color as your brows. Have fun with eye shadow colors while you're young! And mascara is great. A little eyeliner (not too dark) if your eyes need more definition. But keep it all as light as possible. Sounds like you have a naturally lovely face!

I was in the same situation when I left for college at 18. I would either have a friend who's good with make-up show you how to use it, or go to a Clinique make-up counter (Clinique's line caters to younger women so it isn't as heavy and has better colors for young women than brands like Lancombe) and ask the make-up specialists there to help you with a demonstration. Just make sure you tell them the same thing you said here -- that you want a very light, natural, low maintenance look.

Try going to a department store like Dillard's or Macy's. Go to the Clinique counter and have them test different loose powders on you and see which one looks the best. Their foundations are very light and their lip glosses and lip sticks are more natural. I did that when I was 17, I am 25 and still wear Clinique.

I bought the Bare Minerals makeup for my daughter who is 12, and going through a slight blemish stage. It worked VERY well on her, she had an even tone, the warmth gave her a sunkissed look, and the mineral veil gave her that glow. She looked flawless. It's very light and doesn't make your face feel all caked.

Hi Get Physician's Formula they have everything! They are very gentle and light. I recommened that to all girls who have sensitive skin. They have great concealors most of the stuff they have is made out of minerals. I have never seen anyone have a prob with them. The thing is if this your first make up then it should not be the dept store brands. They have lots of perfume and can be waxy. Not too mention costy.
