Hair - September 2007

I would like to dye my hair black with a coppery brownish tint but I can't find a dye that perfectly matches what I want. I know I'll probably have to mix colors but I'm not exactly sure how to accomplish this since black is a strong color and would probably overpower the brown. (would it? I honestly have no idea, hence the question) If I need to mix colors, what level(s) of dye would I need to use? If you use any technical terms in your answer then please explain them. I don't really want to go to a salon unless I absolutely have to. Thanks in advance!

i hv already done mushrooms, spike, mohawk, simple haircut, gv sum dats simple yet looks kool, i tried #3 on top, # 1 on side, bin dere, done dat.

i hv gone through the book the barbers usally carry, wen i ask dem wut looks gud on me in ur prof. experiecnce , all i get iz it ur choice.

I have a friend who wants to dye her hair, but she has lice. She thinks it is almost gone, but she has to wait like 2 or 3 more weeks to know. She wants to dye her hair right now, but she doesn't know if the chemicals in lice shampoo will affect the color of your hair once it mixes with the dye chemicals? PLEASE HELP!*

About two months ago i got my hair cut and the lady gave me side bangs. Well those grew out and i want to get them cut again. Not really cut but really trimmed into shape. I also need a hairstyle that would look good with that. Now i usually wear it in a bun. If it helps i have hair about an inch and a half above my shoulders in the back.. Chin length in the front and bangs that come to about my nose. I also have african american hair texture.

okay..so im bored with my hair, because i died it back natural, and i used to have a big chunk in it..i want to do that again, i just dont know what color..

my hair is dark brown

my skin is fair..kinda beige

my eyes are light blue..little bit of gray

uuumm..

the chunk used to be golden blonde..

my natural color is dark brown..

I started losing my hair maybe half a year ago and I'm 18 1/2 years old. I just bought 3 months worth of 2% rogaine (women's) to try first. I'm wondering if rogaine actually prevents baldness or is just meant to re-grow lost hair. Right now, mine is just a thinning patch on the crown area.

I have dry, curly/wavy(mainly curly but not always spirals), frizzy hair that is thick also. I recently got long layers that you can barely tell. My hair is so poofy!!! It would be awesome if it was just less poofy. What can I do besides straightening.
