I'm a guy and I keep hearing and reading that it's bad to wash your hair everyday, it dries it out and takes out the natural oils that protect hair or somthing. That's ok for me. Sometimes. There are periods where I don't wash my hair everyday, but nowadays I use a bit of gel or wax or hairspray or etc. like everyday after straightening...

So does that mean its fine to go to sleep with hair like that, without washing, then waking up and restraightening ( if needed, i doubt it tho ) and putting wax/gel/whatever again?

I know this is a stupid question but how do you brush the sides of your head. do you brush it forward backward up or down to get waves. also do you need special grease to get waves hair.

Im so sick of my hair!
Its up to my shoulders without my hair extensions but when ive got my hair extensions in its half way down my back!
Problem is, i only ever wear my hair (with extensions in) down, piggy tails or a pony.
Im getting rather bored of the same hairstyles now :(
Can u lovely girlies (possible lads) give me a few tips?!

Hey everyone! I really want to cut my hair and get a new style. It's light brown and about 4 inches past my shoulder with layers. Almost all my layers are grown out though. I don't really want to dye it, but just cut it. I was thinking about going with this:

What do you think? Would it look bad if I didn't style it one day? How do I get my hair to do that in the first place? Oh, and please don't go too short, I play sports and it's nice to be able to get it into some sort of ponytail.

OKAY ANYWAYS.
the place i'm going to is hair cuttery where the stylists are usually clueless on what i want and its always a failure coming out of there.

i want my hair to look like THIS PICTURE:
