[i posted this somewhere else on a different account but i changed it, added more details, and i need more answers]
OKAY ANYWAYS.
the place i'm going to is hair cuttery where the stylists are usually clueless on what i want and its always a failure coming out of there.
i want my hair to look like THIS PICTURE:
http://i1.tinypic.com/4u31077.jpg
i cropped it so it fits my hair length,
colour doesnt matter, i'm not dying my hair.
just the style.
I KNOW I should bring in the picture, but what should I tell her or describe to her everything i want out of that picture?
should she use a razor or scissors?
please help.
i want answers NOT opinions.
thankyou ily all. :]

That's awfully close to the Pixie cuts of the 60's. The hair people you go to might call it something else. The Hair Cuttery we go to has books on styles in the salon. Get there before your appointment and look till you find it Or take the picture as a model to go by.

You don't get "scene hair" by going to a stylist. It takes practice to get that look. It all involves a styling comb, and a lot of hair gel. You have to tease your hair, and no offense, but your details make you seem like a total poser "I'm almost done with my whole scene look i have the clothes make-up an all the other good stuff" Are you serious? Cute! Just take a picture with you and ask them if they can do the style. If they can't or really are clueless, then pay the extra money and go to a really good salon. This way you will get a good cut then when you need a trim, you can go to another place, not as expensive, and they can follow the cut.

It depends on the hairstylist. Some can do these updated styles. Ask them not to even try to cut your hair if the are not confident that they can do it. My daughter has a crazy cute style like the picture you have. I cut her hair and she never has to worry cause I know what I'm doing. You don't necessarily need a razor for this cut.

Obviously, bring in the picture. He/she should probably know how to do it, but if they aren't sure, it looks to me like it was done with a razor. Basically ask them if they think it can be done on your hair type, and tell them which parts specifically you want. If it's the bangs, tell them you really want the bangs, or the back, etc. If they can't do all of it, pick a favorite part and tell them to be creative with the rest.

Point out the elements of the hair cut that appeal to you.
Point out any of your hair's quirks. e.g. cowlicks, how much it springs up after it is dry, how long it takes to style, whether it tends to be fluffy or hang straight
Use your hands to manipulate your hair to show how much volume and length you want.
Ask her about the technique she thinks will work best for your hair & if she thinks the hair cut is suitable for your hair type & face shape.
Don't worry so much about telling her HOW to do her job. Focus on explaining your goal & asking for her input. Trust your gut reaction to what she says.
If you are going to a stylist you've worked with & trust, then it shouldn't be a big deal.

Go to a different salon
if theyre always giving you failure
they obvously dont know what thier doing.
she shouldnt have to use a raxor
unless shes shaving the bottom half of the hair
so i would say scissors
just describe you want it layerd like that
and you want to be able to do it excatly like that
so dont mess it up =O

bring the picture with you. ask for the bangs too.
and use a razor not scissors to get that look
also once you get it you have to tease it in the back.
wich isnt that hard.

Clearly bring in the picture and tell her you want that and you don't know how to describe it or make it any more clear.
