My hair is really thick, and I've tried to scrunch it when it's wet and dry....it kind of works when it's dry, but the bottom layer is still straight! Help please!

Try to start on the bottom layer and work from your roots down. You may need a little bit more product for the bottom than the top though.

Also, what kind of product do you use? I suggest using mousse, and then hairspray. It's the easiest to get out of your hair. (make sure that the hairspray is a pump spray, otherwise, it damages the environment)

If the mousse doesnt work for your hair, try gel. It is a little harder to get out of your hair, but it works.

Some products I use are:

Herbal Essences Curl Construct Mousse
Herbal Essences Ultra Hold Hairspray
Got2B Glued Hair 'Glue'

I hope I helped!

If your hair is that thick, have your hair dresser thin it out for you. You may want to to scrunch the bottom layer first, and then the top layer. Ask your hair dresser to suggest a good gel.

well wait until it is damp, but not completely dry and then try scrunching it, and use more gel, and just keep on scrunching it until u can feel the gel getting sort of hard, then use a firm holding hair spray, good luck :)

use suave mouse at a level 7 strength mildly all over your head MINUS your bangs then put the top half of your hair in a messy bun and the lower half of your hair in a messy bun beneath that then blow dry for about five minutes then add some more mouse more heavily on the buns blow dry about five more minutes let the buns out your hair will still be a little damp after this, but its quick and gives you really wavey hair without making your hair crunchy the key is to use a mouse that is strong in hold, but not super strong or it will make your hair get that wet look hope i helped!

i had the same problem at first.but then i realized hairspray works much better than gel.MUCH MUCH MUCH better.first make sure yor hair isnt wetjust damp or the hairspray wont work. then separate it into sections, as many as u think will make it easier to handle then spray t al with hairspray. then just scrunch it. once it starts to get hards use a little more hairspray to finish it. hope this helps

Not everbody has hair that can scrunch or curl. It sucks. Try extra gel, mousse, curl activator, hairspray etc. my other suggestion is what wont curl or scrunch naturally, use a curling iron! or try a new hairstyle:-P

When your hair is damp with mousse/gel, blow dry it with a DIFFUSER attatched, and scrunch your hair with your hands at the same time. Diffusers are a miracle.

my little sis has the same problem, she razor cut it throughout to thin it out ( you could go to a professional if you like but it wil come out the same.)

1st : put your hair in a ponytail (in the middle of your head -a little higher than the nape of your neck).

2nd: use an electric razor and run in once through the ponytail but make sure its on the lowest setting)

3rd repeat #2 about 4 times in different areas. NOT ABOVE THE PONYTAIL!

be careful, if you don't want to mess up or have bad hand-eye cordination, ask a trusted bud or family member...if you're reallllly anxious about it, please PLEASE get it done professionally!!!!

hope this helped ;]
