Trim the ends every 6 weeks, never use a plastic brush always a wide-tooth comb, I let my hair air-dry (I don't even own a hair-dryer), I use a leave-in conditioner once a week, and only wash my hair every other day. And I must say it's very healthy! Even as bleached as it is.

Eat green vegetables , fruits , salads , raw beatroot, an egg , fish sometimes , homemade triphala powder with water daily. Applying mixture of warm coconut & castor oil. While taking a bath, pouring 2 cc lemon juice in a bucketful water by which hair is washed using a Shikakai soap & taking a towel, dipping in a bucket of warm water & wrapping around the head for 10 minutes at the end. Taking multi vitamin tablets. At night, pouring 3 - 5 drops of almond oil in warm milk & drinking just before retiring to bed for sleeping to prevent greying. Pouring almond oil drops in tea also helps in daytime too but abovementioned procedure helps most. Never combing wet water after bath rather letting them dry naturally without using a hair drier. Lying on the bed on back & letting the head hang down for 5 minutes so that blood circulation in the head increases as most of the time it is up , so, the circulation is least there.

Though it's starting to grey, I have long, straight, fine hair with oily dandruff. I alternate between three shampoos: Head & Shoulders Intensive Treatment, Mane & Tail, and whatever is on sale when I run out of shampoo number 3. Unless I'm out doing things that make me sweat, I wash my hair every other day, conditioning just the lower 8 inches every time I wash. Every so often I'll use another conditioner, but will then go back to Mane & Tale.

This is what i normally do:

1)Brush it upside down before a bath, with a wide-toothed brush with rounded ends.
2)Wash it regularly and with only soft water and a shampoo with sodium laureth sulphate is softest on the hair.
3)Use a conditioner on wet hair. Comb it through to the ends. Rinse it off completely after about a minute.
4)Use a leavein conditioner about twice a week, and if you are going to gel it.
5)Use a mousse or hairspray before heatstyling or gelling it.
6)Let it dry completely before tying it up.
7)Try, as far as possible to protect it from sun and pollution(Scarves, helmets etc)
8)Once in six months, Lice or no-lice, use a lice medicated shampoo; dandruff or no dandruff, use a dandruff medicated shampoo.
9)Once in four months, get a trim or haircut.
10) Last and most importantly, i eat the right kind of food so it stays strong!!

I saturate it in baby oil at bedtime and leave it in all night. It helps the hair and scalp. It'll take a couple of washings to get the oil out but always worked well for me. I do this about once a month or so.

How many questions from the advertisers do I have to go through before I get to help a real person with a real problem that isn't so vain and superficial? This just made me decide to switch from using Dove soap, I'll go back to my old brand, they don't do this sort of annoying b.s.
Besides your shampoo is greasy and nasty, if I want to look that way I'll skip bathing for a month.

Like most parts hair too needs attention. I oil my hair about three times a week, make sure that i take the right food ( including the required proteins ) and wash it whenever it gets oily.

Well I usually wash and condition it every couple of days. See if I wash my hair every day it gets very dry, but after a few days it gets oily. So I say wash every other day. I try to let my hair air dry (using blowdryer and flat iron totoally dries it out). And that's about it. Just had it cut so most of the dead ends are gone, for now.
