my mom and aunts and well...everyone tell me, don't cut your hair, boys love long, blonde, wavy hair...so thats how it is...flat cut across the bottom...3/4 of the way down my back

i just want your input..what kind of hair do you prefer on girls? color, short, long, straight, curly, layered, bangs, etc

not like fancy or anything, just unique in a good way. and how do you do it?
i'm not talking about those "perfect waves" or any other style that involves leaving the hair untied or half-tied.

i have hair that is just to my shoulders and straight. i am going to a fancy dinner in hilton head and want to do something pretty with it. i want to do it myself and not go to a salon. will curls stay in with all the humidity down there? any other easy styles i could try?

I've had my hair blonde/brown/black/red over the years,but the majority of the time I keep it a medium/light blonde.(not sure why, but blonde just seems to be my favorite)I have noticed however, that when i decide to go darker....(like when i dyed my whole head a deep brown a few months ago)all other bruenettes that I know, start coming out of the woodwork to tell me how much better brown looks.I personally think these women are complimenting the brown because they themselves have never been blonde, & *say* they wouldn't want to be, since they have this negative connotation associated with blondes,as do most people.What is this about?It's almost....in my opinion,that browns are the "underdog"...because blondes are seen as popular/cheerleader/more feminine.....& browns are jealous?Anyway,when i switched my hair color to brown it just seems as if a lot of my college peers who are bruenettes suddenly wanted to be friends.Am i just imagining this or is this whole stereotypical thing true?

i have long hair, and im afraid if it getting frizzy if i straighten it or curl it using a curling iron. Anyone have any ideas how to hold big curls for atleast 4 hours that wont look yucky wearing that ugly grad cap?

Okay, so my moms not happy about me changing my hair colour... or paying 80 dollars either!

My hairs sort of a light ash brown, and I want to make it darker brown. Not too dark, just a little bit darker.

She says she wont pay for a proffesional to do it, but I can do it myself like using dye you get in shops... She said she would help me do it aswell.

I'm getting a semi permanent so it would probably last a month or two,

do you think its okay to do?

My hair is semi-short, dark brown with red-violet lowlights, and extremely thick. I want to get my hair chemically relaxed. I had my hair colored 2 weeks ago, and I was wondering if it was okay to get my hair relaxed now. And also, how long after relaxing can you color again, and is there a maximum # of times you can color after relaxing?
