I am curious to know if there is really any significant difference between wax, paste and mud? I am currently using BedHead's Hard To Get which is a paste. I want to look for a similar product as a replacement (because where I am at now, it is hard to get the BedHead range) but am confused by the above three terms. Can someone offer an explanation or even better suggest some products are replacements?

I want hair that will not tangle or lose its shine. My natural hair is very shiny and when it gets wet it makes tiny glossy curls, I would like a weave that can be worn both ways. I have decided to get a weave for my upcoming 21st birthday to add drama and length to my regularly short hair style.

I have always dyed & done alot of stuff to my hair myself, at home... I hear this product is great, but I want to make sure I do it right. I know they have "at home' treatments, but they have a less intensive concentration of the ceramides than the Pro4 treatment. & If you could explain your experiences with the product, that would be helpful as well. Thanks! :)

I was a light blonde as a kid, but as I got older, my hair turned a darker blonde, so I began lightening it. Currently, I feel like my hair got damaged from all the dying blonde. It's also a pain in the neck to have to watch out for the darker roots all the time. I would like to do something to repair my hair. Is it worth dying my hair to a light brown, so that the roots don't show that much and it gives my hair a chance to rejuvinate? If so, what shade would you recommend?

I'm looking for a way to decrease the thickness and quantity of hair with out using lazer hair removal. Do not tell me to shave. I'm not asking how to get rid of the hair, I'm asking how to inhibit it's growth. Thanks!

I have a question... Do you really need a tint brush to have good dyed-hair results? I have Manic Panic's turquoise hair dye, but I don't have a tint brush... I've seen some awful hair dye jobs that people have done themselves- in example, their hair color is that solid color (let's say, green) that they dyed it, and there's no shades of green. Did it come out like that because they didn't use a tint brush?

I'd surely like to get some different shades of turquoise... But in order to do that, I need a tint brush. Correct? Or does it not matter?

My hair is really coarse and thick. Which is a given seeing as I'm african american. I want a scene/emo haircut [ really hate how people just lable anything thats diffrent, but, whatever. ] complete with a new dye color and such. But I'm not sure how I should go about. Any suggestions or ideas on how I should get it cut, and what color to dye? And from there, how should I treat my hair to make sure it doesn't like...die on me or anything. D: I could really use some help. Below is a pic of me. I'm the girl with gold scarf and lip piercing.

So I'm thinking of investing in a new flat iron that is ceramic.
I was looking on ebay, and I found this one

is that a chi? I'm not sure what I'm looking for. If it is not a chi, will this product work just as well?
:(

Okay, for all of you hairstylest that know how to tree braid...I am a hair braider and I just bought a DVD on tree braiding. Within 30 minutes I learned how to do this technique...it is beautiful and gives the appearance of hair growing from your scalp. However....I plan on braiding my own hair and doing corn rows straight to the back. What do you do when you have finished braiding the hair in the back? do you make it into a small braid? or should I make a row of small braids before I start the tree braids to I can pull them up more. The video didn't tell you any of that (of course!)

My hair is long (about to the bottom of my ribcage), black, thick and layered already. It isn't pin straight, but it's not curly or wavy either.

I'm looking for a cute/pretty hairstyle that isn't too expensive to get done, and I don't want to have to fool around with in the morning to make it look good (no curling irons, no straighteners, etc.) It needs to be at least 2 or 3 inches below the shoulders.

Any suggestions? A picture in your answer would be nice. I really like loose curls, but since I've never had them I don't know what I would have to do to take care of them.

Has anyone used Hair Fantasies Tiffany Yaki Perm Hair Extension??? I haven't heard much about it, but I don't wanna assume that its a good product just because I haven't heard much about it. If that is not a good choice, what would be a good product? I'm also trying to stay at a reasonable price range any where from $30 to $70. Also any recommendations for a good stylist in the Cincinnati area....
