My hair is long (about to the bottom of my ribcage), black, thick and layered already. It isn't pin straight, but it's not curly or wavy either.
I'm looking for a cute/pretty hairstyle that isn't too expensive to get done, and I don't want to have to fool around with in the morning to make it look good (no curling irons, no straighteners, etc.) It needs to be at least 2 or 3 inches below the shoulders.
Any suggestions? A picture in your answer would be nice. I really like loose curls, but since I've never had them I don't know what I would have to do to take care of them.

Just don't cut too much off at once or you may regret the extreme change. When I had hair as long as yours I had what was called a piggyback permanent to get curl along the long hair. That means they use two rolls on one group of hair, rolling half in one and the rest in the other. It looked really great!

if you havnt already got one of those long side fringes get one of those... always makes hair look amazing in my opinion...
if it already has layers.. maybe you could dye it to get the OOMPH you want =) something like (if your hair is black) red.. at a salon.. it doesnt ruin your hair =) Ive been dying my hair since I was 10 and it is still shiny and healthy as ever =)

Mabey you should try perming it! That might be fun- then you dont have to use any curling or straitning irons! Mabey just a little moose or hairspray and your done!
