I have a question... Do you really need a tint brush to have good dyed-hair results? I have Manic Panic's turquoise hair dye, but I don't have a tint brush... I've seen some awful hair dye jobs that people have done themselves- in example, their hair color is that solid color (let's say, green) that they dyed it, and there's no shades of green. Did it come out like that because they didn't use a tint brush?

I'd surely like to get some different shades of turquoise... But in order to do that, I need a tint brush. Correct? Or does it not matter?

you dont have to have a tint brush...it just makes it easier to apply.....just use gloves and slap it on ....if your doing streaks be sure to use tinfoil

i use a tint brush to apply the color heavily, then comb the color through my hair & then use my hands (with plastic gloves on, of course!) to work it into the hair at the scalp...i might repeat this process 3 or 4 times in all to make sure all desired areas are covered completely with the color...i use "special effects" hair color, it actually lasts a lot longer than "manic panic"...when i used "manic panic", i`d have to touch up my color every other week...so annoying!!!

If you are trying to get turquise hair how can you say that you've seen some awful dye jobs? Just look in a mirror.
