my hair grows into a point at the back, when my hair grows to about 5 inches will the back hair straigten out and cover the back of my neck normally?

I have very poofy curly hair with long right sidebangs that go to my chin. I straighten my hair and it is still poofy! If I get layers will it be less poofy? Also I use sulsilk anti-poof shampoo and 24/7 creme.

My hair gets very oily if I don't wash it at least every 24 hrs. I know that they say that it is a bad to wash it every day, but I can't stand the oily feeling at my roots. I know that they say that the shampoo strips the hair of the natural oils, but do you think that I have enough of the natural oil to spare?

All my life, up untill 4-5 years ago, I have had completely straight hair that would even keep a curl in it!! Now my hair is all wavy and I hate it. What made it change? I have had kids, could that have something to do with it or does this just happen when you get older? (Im 24)

I am mixed-half black, quarter white and a quarter mexican-with the hair to match. i recently got my hair permanently straightened snd LOVE it. it looks amazing!.....but i have some questions that i hav gotten sooooo many various answers to:

1. Can u wash permanently straightened ethnic hair?

2. Will it curl after being washed? (because i don't want to have spent the money on it then it look the same after i wash it as it did before i got it done)

3. Can i use products in it? (mousse, hairspray, lotion, etc.)

4. How many times within a week should i wash it IF washing won't wash out the perm?

My hair was supposed to turn out blonde, but it's a really unnatural looking strawberry blonde. It's gross. I haven't colored my hair in so long because I don't have the time and I don't want to spend the money to keep up with the roots. So, shame on me, I thought I'd do it at home.

I want to go to the salon, but I don't want them to have to strip this color out of my hair. I would like to put brown and blonde blonde highlights in with this color I have right now. Is it too soon to call for an appointment to get it colored again? Would it ruin my hair?

I have long dry and damaged hair that is also highlighted. It is very weak and breaks easily from brushing. At the moment i am using shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair but i want to treat the split ends at the same time.
Is there a shampoo and conditioner that i can use for dry and damaged hair that is also for coloured hair?

so i have REALLY curly hair, and i mean REALLY curly hair. and its not very long, it goes down to about my armpit. and i straighten is often. right now i have a pro-straigtener, but its not a chi. and my hair is bascailyl COMPLETLY dead. i use alot of conditioner when i shower and my hair feels silky and smoth. but after i strighten it. its 50-50. sometimes it will be nice and smooth, others it will be like straw.
i use a chi protector which usualy does wonders, but thing is im 15 and don thave the heart to go out and pay 40 sdollars for a bottle that doesnt last much more than 2 months.
but ehen it comes down to it i will
will it be worth it in the end to go buy a chi?
and are their any trivcks to help me with my hair?

I've tried the usual 'cosmetic' shampoos (Head & Shoulders, etc) and most of the medicated ones (Nizoral etc). What i'd really like is something that is a good anti-dandruff but also leaves my hair in good condition. I find that the mediciated shampoos tend to dry my hair.

I'm a natural kind of dark blonde, I died my hair light ash brown back in December and I wanted to dye it back to a medium blonde now. I do not want it to turn out red/blonde however. I was considering using L'oreal Preference medium ash blonde. Does anyone know if this owuld do it?

i have human hair extenstions that i clip in sometimes. I notice they are looking stringy and a little dirty so i need to wash them. I heard that you cant wash them like you would the hair on your head.....what do i do?

I just want to look good in my holiday snaps!?

I can make my hair look pretty decent if I use a straightening/de-frizz cream, blow dry and straightening irons, but how can I keep my frizzy haystack hair under control in the middle of humid Thailand ... possibly without electricity? We'll be hiking and doing outdoorsy stuff, visiting caves, temples, & markets, going to the beach, and partying in the big cities.

My hair looks just about exactly like my avatar. It's chin-length with layers (the shortest bits are about level with my eyes) and a side swept fringe. (But I can grow it a bit cause the trip is 6 months away.) It's mid-brown, normal texture, a bit wavy and very dry and frizzy. I have an oval face, so I can wear pretty much any style.

because it's backpacking I can't carry too many products, etc. and I don't want to spend ages in the bathroom every morning.

Cut and styling advice please?? And please give as much detail as poss cause I'm not the greatest at doing hair.
