I'm a natural kind of dark blonde, I died my hair light ash brown back in December and I wanted to dye it back to a medium blonde now. I do not want it to turn out red/blonde however. I was considering using L'oreal Preference medium ash blonde. Does anyone know if this owuld do it?

You should be fine. As long as you dye your hair one or two shades darker than it is now and stay away from anything with reddish hues..(strawberry blond..etc) I believe the medium ash blonde you are thinking of using will do the trick. You also can do a strand test to make sure if you are worried.

If you dyed your hair a darker color in December, using a lighter shade will not work b/c color cannot lift (lighten) color. If you want to go lighter, you will need to strip your hair first. If you have a Sally's Beauty Supply store near you, go & get L'Oreal Color Zap. I have used this before & it does not contain bleach, so it will not hurt your hair. After stripping the color, you can put the new color in in the same day. ( just make sure you read the directions carefully) I have darkened & then lightened my hair several times & this stuff is really good. :)

Hope this helps !

I know exactly where you are coming from! My hair was medium blonde and I dyed it dark brown about six months ago. I have been trying to get it back to blonde also. You will need to go one shade lighter than what you want. Stick to cool/ash tones to avoid having red/orange tones! Good luck!

make sure you use a "cool" color to avoid the redish tones. an ash will work fine. First, seperate your hair into sections. You will probably need someone to help you. Have them put the color all over, do not rub it into your scalp, just gently spread it over your head. Wait for about 30-45 min, and then rinse it out. make sure you use the conditioner they give you, other wise your hair will get very staticky when it dries...good luck!!!

that is tremendous from the %. curiously like you could pull off both hair colorings. I want the blonde hair and that i in many situations want brunettes so perhaps bypass back once you get the prospect. You seem tremendous in all of your %., and no your no longer too tanned.

Wow... I think you could pull off what ever look you want... although I've always though darker hair goes best with bright eyes.
