2 Questions:

Well, my hair is really dry (mainly cause I straighten it to DEATH but I got some new heat protectant stuff for it).... but are there any home remedies to restore some of the damage?

Also, I've used olive oil in my hair once but it didn't wash out all the way and my hair was REALLY bad oily the next day. I heated it some beofore i put it in and left it in for a few minutes then washed it out...did i do something wrong?

Any help would be great?

Thanks....

My hair seems to get static and bushy when i go outside in humid or kind of cold weather. Is their any spray or shampoo for this kind of hair? I guess it has something to do with lack of moisture in my hair. It is quite dry. Also does blotting paper only remove shine and oil of your face or does it take of your makeup too? My face gets very sweaty as the day goes on!!

My hair is a mid-dark brown hair colour. I have only dyed it once before, and i want to go a light to medium brown.

To give you more an idea about my hair colour, its sort of the same colour as anne hathaway's from devil wears prada, but a bit lighter, and i want it to be the same colour as sort of mischa barton colour, but a bit darker.

So, really, i am only going a few shades lighter. I don't want highlights, i want the whole of my head done.

Do you reckon i could do it at home? Or should i go to a salon? I'd rather to it at home, but the thing is i don't know whether my hair needs to be stripped first, because if so i don't want to that myself. Also does anybody think there is any danger whatsoever of my hair going ginger??

If i'm going to do it, can i just use semi-permanent?

My hair bleaches naturally in sunlight, but i still want it dyed.

Any advice more than welcome!!

Hope you can help!! Thanks :]

Xxx

I have gone from black to blonde over the past 4 years, over and over. Usually, I can use Shiny Silver shampoo to get rid of the brassy color after bleaching it. But, this time, it's been harder to get it out. I am wondering if I should use a bleachless color stripper or if I should just keep using the shampoo and see if it does anything. I don't want to bleach it again, yet. And the stripper I have contains no bleach, so I figured it wouldnt hurt. Do you think it would get rid of the brassiness, or make it worse?

But now it's starting to look dull and I'm getting a lot of split ends. I know I should trim it more often than I do (every 3-5 months). I used to dye it a lot. . . I figure that has a lot to do with it...but I never blow dry and I use Nutrisse Garnier shampoo and conditioner. Does anyone have any tips/tricks for getting my hair healthier/shinier? Thanks!

Well I have never used a curling iron before and I decided to purchase one today. But the question is, how do I use it? I did read all the instructions but they were very vague! Well first of all I have medium length naturally straight hair but where do I even begin?? Once the curling iron heats up do I turn it off or do I leave it on and use it while it is on? How does this work? HElp! lol
