But now it's starting to look dull and I'm getting a lot of split ends. I know I should trim it more often than I do (every 3-5 months). I used to dye it a lot. . . I figure that has a lot to do with it...but I never blow dry and I use Nutrisse Garnier shampoo and conditioner. Does anyone have any tips/tricks for getting my hair healthier/shinier? Thanks!

I think you need to try and find out why your hair became this way - what's changed, ill health?, medication? shampoo brand? All are factors. If you have no ill-health or medication that could cause the change then try changing your products. Get one that does not contain silicone as this sticks to your hair. A final rinse with a mixture of apple cider vinegar & water will give your hair an excellent shine as well as being good for your scapl (gets rid of any dandruff). It doesn't smell of vinegar either.

This might sound wild, but I dye my hair a lot and have been for the last 10 years and a few years back i realized my hair whay falling out and I was getting split ends too so I was talking to a girlfriend of mine and she told me to buy "Suave aloe Vera" shampoo and cut up onions and put then in the shampoo and let it set for two weekend before I used it... So I did and I thought man I don't want my hair to smell like onions but it did and I kept using it still till today and my hair is healthy again i just keep up with my trims ever 2 months because my hair grows so fast... But just try it theres nothing you can lose and it works better than a lot of things I've tried...

I can't use that shampoo or conditioner because it dries the hell out of my hair. My salon (Regis) sells an olive oil shampoo and conditioner that I love and it makes my hair shiny, not greasy. Get a good one from your salon or your local beauty supply store. Don't buy cheap ones if you want your hair to look good. Also, deep condition once a week. I leave conditioner on over night and rinse the next morning, once a week.

switch your shampoo for a while and don't use too much conditioner, use some conditioner, but not a lot. It's good to switch shampoos every few months or so to wash off the build up shampoos can leave....

i'm sorry yet i bypass to be truthful. it is going to take particularly a mutually as on your thinned hair to advance decrease back appreciably sufficient which you would be conscious and experience it being thicker lower back. Your hair will advance decrease back generally, certainly. the element is, hair grows at a million/2 inch according to month. become your hair all one-length until eventually now the stylist thinned it? if so, counting on how short the shortest of the thinned hair strands is, it may take particularly a mutually as (even 6 months to a 300 and sixty 5 days!) until eventually now you would be conscious it is appreciably thickened lower back. Sorry to be the bearer of undesirable information! right here's a tip, an honesty which you in basic terms do no longer generally party as on the salon. usually, and that i do advise usually, a hairdresser will intentionally cut back extra off your hair than you asked for, and right here is the sorrowful certainty why: in the experience that your haircut isn't drastic and important with the help of alternative people who comprehend you, you does no longer get comments like "gee, I see you purchased your haircut, apparently super. the place did you have it accomplished?" once you get a brilliant important haircut, you're a strolling commercial for the hairdresser. once you assert "in basic terms take a teeny weeny bit off" and the hairdresser extremely does this, you at the instant are not a strolling commercial for that hairdresser, by using fact no you is often conscious you had a trim. See what I advise? it is incorrect, yet i comprehend countless hairdressers extremely try this, and admittedly, it STINKS. i might incredibly have not got any clientele than be sneaky like that and do somethign to somebody's hair that they didnt' desire. yet maximum hairdressers care extra approximately all the employer you will convey them then that your hair is a sprint shorter than what you wanted. And it is incredibly sneaky and advise, IMO. I under no circumstances try this, i think of i'm between the few hairdressers i comprehend who extremely might forsake the loose commercial in exchange for the coverage which comes from in basic terms being truthful. That stated, eat lots of jello, by using fact it incredibly does make your hair and nails advance *somewhat* speedier! :) solid success, sorry to be the bearer of undesirable information yet I in basic terms desire to inform the actuality! :)
