how can i make my hair go forward in the front? if i use hair gel, it makes my hair lookwavy and curly. any suggestions? do i just have to comb it forward and then smooth hair gel on it or what?

kind of an inbetween rectangle and oval head shape. my features are pretty strong. My all together face and head shape is very much like mandy moore's (with alittle kristen bell). I want to grow my side bangs and my hair out some more, and get layers. ( like mandy moore in because i said so: http://imdb.com/gallery/ss/0490084/b5.jpg.html ) Is this going to be a good look for me? Also I play friend hockey, softball, basketball and cheerlead, so i'll have to pull my hair back all the way for that.. what are some tricks instead of a tight ponytail that'll stay and look flattering? Like if the pony is right at the nape of my neck, it'll look better, but i'm gunna be hot runnign on the fields/courts.

I've heard this claim a few times and I'm worried because my mom bought some conditioner and shampoo from them for me and I don't want my hair to fall out but I still have to use it so I don't waste, so what do you think is it really bad for your hair? I was also thinking maybe I'd use only the shampoo with a different conditioner and only the conditioner with another brand shampoo.

i have normal hair its like curly but not to curly juss fair enough...but everytime i straighten my hair with the blow dryer and then the iron i have a bunch of lil hair standing up in the front i hate this ...what a good hair treatment to stop the frizz from standing.

i have mostly straight hair but it has all of these weird kinks in it so i end up having to straighten it almost every day with a flat iron. would perminatly straightening it be less damageing then straightening every day. i havent talked to a hairdresser yet but if thats its not a good option is there a good way to cut my hair so that it looks more uniform.
