What is the ultimate way and best fix for bringing out the natural curls in your hair? My hair is thick and naturally wavy but I can't get it to have enough body! Please help...

Hello, ive been growing my hair out for like 6 months now, and i think i need a haircut. Im asian with thick hair that's slighty wavy(curls a bit at the end u know?), bout 6 inch in the front, and 4 inches in the back and sides right now.

Short hair, long hair, it dont matter. i just need a good hairstyle lol... help

I have very thick, curly, and poofy hair that is about an inch and a half below my shoulders. I really want sidebangs but I am not sure if they would look right on me. I would straighten them everyday but would they look right on my type of hair? Also my dominant side is right but should I get right or left side bangs? I decided to get a perm, but I want to be prepared for the damage it may inflict. Therefore, I think it would be best for me to start working towards the appointment I have with the hairdresser and get my hair into shape the best way I can. I have fine hair that is a few inches longer then shoulderlength. It gets regular trims and always gets washed with good shampoo, sometimes together with a conditioner.
Not only do I want to know what I could do before the perm, I also wanted to know what I could do and what products I can use after I got the perm. Which products or which methods you can use to take good care of the permed hair after the entire process is over.
I intend to get the perm within a few weeks, so there is still time. However, I want to be prepared.
