If you get really orange, does it fade a bit away or do you stay like that forever

Ok, so I have thick, frizzy hair thats kind of curly ringlets and wavy at the same time. Oh, and it is really long. Side swept bangs don't work with thick curly hair, do they? I got my hair cut as short as I have had it. Its always been wavy and grown out just over the ears. Anyways, the barber used a the 1/2 inch size clipper on the sides/back, and he used the 1 inch size clipper on the front/top. My hair grows a little faster than normal hair. I was just wondering how long it will take my hair to grow back to wear its at my eye brows and half way down my ear.
