my hair is exactly the same! i figured it was just my hardwater, but the following things helped me:
NEVER use herbal essences. it's awful and makes you hair look greasy as soon as it's dry
Never touch your hair through the day
Make sure your face is not oily, as the two impact each other
Change you pillow case every week
that's all i did, and i now i can go 2 days without washing my hair and i dont look like i'm, soaking wet!

hmmm, i've never had this problem. but when you condition your hair, make sure that you rinse ALL of the conditioner out to prevent greasy hair. i also heard that if you wash your hair every other day instead of evey day, it will keep nutrients in. but since you have greasy hair, it might help to shampoo every day and drink a lot of water

Although i can understand you wanting to wash your hair every day,by doing so you are making it greasy,of course you could try rinsing it with lemon juice this will stop the build up of grease, also last rinse do in cool water, try washing once every other day,try it on your day/days off, daft as it seems it will help.

Drink lots of water because when you are dehydrated your body produces oils to keep your skin from drying out, if you suffer from greasy skin you will suffer with greasy hair as dehydration causes a number of problems. Good luck.

The more you wash it, the greasier it will become as you are stimulating the glands that produce the oil. don't use conditioner and buy dry shampoo such as batiste they now do a tropical one which leaves your hair smelling great. You use it like hairspray and brush it out. use this in between washes to absorb some oil.

I heard if you brush a little talcum powder thru it, it does the trick.
