Well, I read a blog somtimes (www.TheTrixie.com) and I remember in one of the earlier entries she said that she used mayonaise as a leave-in conditioner.

The particular article is called 'Hair Lesson #2: Deep Conditioning Treatments', but if you don't want to read the whole thing here's a quote:

"There are a ton of good DCT's out there. Kerastase makes a great one (does this shock anyone?). Lush's H'Suan Wen Hua treatment is a favorite of mine as well. But I'm going to let y'all in on a little secret...

The very best DCT out there (and the one that I use to keep the tresses in peak condition) is found in every single grocery store and 7-eleven across the country. It's Helmans Real Mayonnaise. I **** you not.

Do NOT buy the low fat stuff; you're not eating it, you're just putting it on your hair. Slather it onto your dry hair, pin the hair up, so mayonnaise isn't dripping down your back, and wrap your head in saran wrap. Then take a hot towel and turban it around your head. If you don't have a hot towel, taking the hair dryer on high heat and blowing it on your head will work too. Let it soak into your hair for about ½ hour to an hour (or as long as you can stand the smell without gagging).

Then get in the shower and shampoo and condition as you normally would. I promise you if you shampoo all of it out, you won't smell like egg salad.

Style as usual and thank me later."

yes...it helps alot! also try a hot oil treatment or if you dont mind spendin some money try this AWESOME kit from sephora (link below) its like $50 but its a miracle worker, i swear by it! i had the same problem and it sucks so i said i would try anything...i tried it and it worked amazingly! but yeah, if thats outta budget mayo works wonders for splits and dryness, also, use alot of it, put on a plastic shower cap and take a hot shower, this will stimulate the oils in the mayo and make it work even better. Then rinse it out with icy cold water (which will really pump up the shine) g/l

Oh My GOSH. Do NOT do it. My friend did it [i couldn't, i can't even stand the sight of mayonaisse] and it stunk soo bad. Weeks passed by and it never works. Ever. Stick to a salon experts advice.

errrmmmm , no?!:S DONT put it in your hair! Go to a hair salon, they will give you a shampoo thats good for your hair, and that will repair it. Also, i suggest cutting or trimming your hair, so that the ends grow again, and you get rid of the split ends,,,Good luck! :)

UHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

although they try to play it off in the movies, it does NOT work!! not even for gum in the hair!

try buying a very moisturizing shampoo like pantene and use conditioner.

Try Pantine conditioner, or cutting your hair.
