I highlighted a small section a long time ago and some of it is still there but it shouldn't be really brown near my roots anymore unless the chlorine and/or Sun is affecting it.

Why do so many people seem to hate super long hair?

My hair is hip lenght, well maintained. I trim it, it has no split ends and is in good condition. I keep it braided alot, and when it's loose it has pretty waves from the braid.

What I don't understand is why people keep pushing me to get it cut. It has taken years to get this long.

I'm a white female. My hair looks beautiful right after I take a shower, but when it dries; it seriously looks like a super curly and frizzy afro. I've been thinking about getting it straightened with a Japanese style straightener. But, if I get it done; will it only make my hair straight? I mean, it's no the curl that bothers me; it's the "poofyness" of my hair. Will it still be poofy if I get a Japanese chemical straightener put on it? And how bad will it damage my hair? The ends of my hair have a perm solution on them and my ends of my hair are still poofy. I have color on my hair.

I have noticed also that letting an area grow for a while and then shaving (i.e. goatee) will result in thicker growth in that area too. How does this happen?

i used to have really thick hair but recently a lot my hair fell out due to stress and became very thin. i heard biotin would help thicken it. I purchased biotin from GNC and the highest dose i could get was 300mcg which is 200% of the RDA. is it safer to take more than one tablet?? would make my hair thicker faster if i uped the dose??

This is for my hair, at the moment i have shrt hair around the back and sides, and have my hair spikey on to (recently had blonde highlights). Thinking bout growing it like a bit longer having it feathered at the bottom like and layed flat on top, die it a bronze/brown clour then have the different colurs put through that like, if you get what i mean.

What do you hair specialists think about that, and any other suggestions?

I have dark brown hair and would like to get the whole underneath layer died blonde so that it shows through my layers. My friends said this would look strange though because blonde is lighter than brown. I don't want to have it blonde on top and brunette underneath though because I like to look a bit different but not stupid lol. I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on tis....
