i used to have really thick hair but recently a lot my hair fell out due to stress and became very thin. i heard biotin would help thicken it. I purchased biotin from GNC and the highest dose i could get was 300mcg which is 200% of the RDA. is it safer to take more than one tablet?? would make my hair thicker faster if i uped the dose??

thnx

Biotin is a member of the B-complex family. The RDA for adults is 100 to 300 mcg.
What can do for you:
aid in keeping hair from turning gray
help in preventive treatment for baldness
THERE ARE NO KNOWN CASES OF BIOTIN TOXICITY
Biotin works synergistically and more effectively with B2, B6, niacin and A. If you have too much stress take B-complex instead

Hair grows in cycles so that you don't lose all your hair on your head at one time.... you lose hair everyday....and it's replaced with new hair ...every ones cycle is a little different.be patient lower your stress levels.............eat well and sleep well.......no special vitamins are going to make your hair grow faster or thicker...pamper it with good shampoos and conditioners(there are biotin shampoos) get a good easy cut and don't torture your hair for awhile...................
