I have dark hair, light skin and a oval face. My hair is a few inches past my sholders and is wavy. I don't know a whole lot about hair. help me!!

Keep the color. Or if you want a lighter shade do not go too light. Since your skin is fair, it might make you look washed out. I would get your long hair layered and maybe a few highlights. Also, maybe get some side bangs. I think wavy hair with layers and bangs look cute. You also don't have to style your hair (curl) a lot since the waves look good with layers. Think "Mary Kate Olsen"s hair style.

Go to www.matrix.com & click on hairstyles. This area has lots of haircuts organized by length with detailed photos.
With an oval face, you can wear just about any style. The trick will be finding a hair cut that works with your hair texture.
In addition to matrix.com, look at InStyle for ideas. Gather some pics of haircuts you like & bring them with you when you get your hair cut. An experienced hair dresser will help you select an appropriate cut.

Some salons offer this type of service. You go in and they pull your hair back into a ponytail. Then they take a picture of you. You look through a book and pick out styles and colors that you like. They put your picture in the computer and put the styles on it. You can get a print out of the styles and can even get a video of the results so that you can try other styles later.

Ah ha! Short and spiky! Its so easy to mess your hair up and go. I have been doing hair for a long time and I have had short hair for a while too. Its easy and its fun. If you dont like it it always grows back and hopefully you will just forget I ever even told you this.

Try cutting it in layers. I got wavy hair too! It worked for me. Try it! Then straighten it!!!

I absolutely think that short slinky hair is in...Try cutting it in semi layers to about the end of your ear and them make sure you get it straighten..then wear it down...so cute...

hmmm.. well do u tend to wear it up or down alot?
if up, then wear it down.
if down, then make an upsweep.
if u want a totally different look, straighten it or scrunch it.
i recommend a messy bun. those are too cool. ;)
