I need to know what i should do. my hair is like.. kinda red and to my shoulders. i want a new style. help?

I'm a 15 year-old guy. My problem is, I have extremely dry/frizzy hair, that is VERY thick. I've kept my hair short all my life, but recently decided to grow it out, at which point, I realized my hair wasn't straight like I always assumed it was. It takes all these strange twists and turns on my head, like I have hairs right next to each other that go in completely different directions as well.

Is there anything I can do to get my hair soft and silky, and maybe thin it out and make it more manageable? Thinning it out at a salon isn't any option anymore, because it just costs too much to get it thinned out every two weeks.... I was thinking about getting a straightener, but I really don't want to have to resort to that, for fear of losing my manlyhood entirely. >.>

Which hair styling product is the best for..
Type of Hair: kinda dry, short, curls out sometimes, not oily, hard to stay with the style.

This Aveda salon in San Francisco charges more for partial and full highlights than for "full color." Wouldn't full color be more expensive?

I highlighted my hair about a 12 days ago and really liked it but I just did very subtle highlights, Is it really bad to highlight again today? My hair handled the first time fine and I have been deep conditioning every other day this week.

i want to put low lights in my hair to add some texture and stuff like that but my mom keeps telling me " your going to killl your hair! dont do it!"

people tell me i have really nice hair. i can put a simple product like gel or smoother in it and blow dry it and itll come out pretty straight. will it become dry or whatever if i put in low lights or dye it?

whats the best product to use to get a messy hairstyle? how do you get it (what i mean is do i put it in wet hair or dry, how much product?) i have tried a bunch of products but nothing has been working. it doesn't get the messy look i am going for. i don't want my hair to have that wet look or get that hard feel to it.

i have been really sick the last few days and i could take a shower. my hair was really nasty but after i washed it it was SO PRETTY! like. it was shiny and really healthy looking. usually it looks really weird because i wash it every day. and blowdry it.

but if i don't wash it everyday, my hair gets oily. and i have FLAT hair so if i don't blowdry it, my hair is clean, but looks oily because it's stuck to my head.

i heard talcum powder works, but im asian, and talcum powder looks like dandruff. hahah. help please!

If I have naturally dark blonde hair (and now it's a light brownish/orange/red), is it easier to use brown or blonde to get back to my natural color? My plan is to color it a medium/dark brown and let it fade - I figured that is better than coloring it too light and letting dark roots come in. Is this the best way to go?

I need a way that will take less than 20 minutes to do, and doesn't involve a curling iron. Please help if possible! Wavy or curly will do. Also i have pin strait hair and its really hard to curl with an iron thats why i cant use one.
