I suggest going to a Sally's beauty supply if you have one in your area, they have a wide variety of ceramic irons. At reasonable prices too.

I use a Revlon short-width ceramic flat iron. I love it, it works great, and it's only about $15-$20 at places like ULTA. It is black, the iron is gold (ceramic), and it has heat settings 1-30 and an on/off switch.

Remember, the "best" is a matter of opinion. You didn't mention how much you are willing to spend or what you budget to spend.
I have extremely thick and curly hair. I am always looking for products that cause the least amount of damage and require the least amount of time. My hair is length is 5 inches past my shoulders.
I found this flat iron quite effective and not expensive. I have spent over 100 dollars on flat irons and not as satisfied as I am with this one.
Hope this helps and Good Luck.

I think HAI is the best. I've used 3 other brands in my time (GHD, Vidal Sassoon and Remington) and this gave me the best results by far. I got it from folica.com and it took less than a week to arrive (to Michigan). It was $US 79.95, free shipping with a bonus heat mat to proect surfaces from the heat of the iron when in use.

I don't know you should go and ask a hair dresser. They will know which ones wont totally dry out your hair and which ones won't burn your hair! Lol thats pretty much the same thing! Well good luck!
