I'm a 15 year-old guy. My problem is, I have extremely dry/frizzy hair, that is VERY thick. I've kept my hair short all my life, but recently decided to grow it out, at which point, I realized my hair wasn't straight like I always assumed it was. It takes all these strange twists and turns on my head, like I have hairs right next to each other that go in completely different directions as well.

Is there anything I can do to get my hair soft and silky, and maybe thin it out and make it more manageable? Thinning it out at a salon isn't any option anymore, because it just costs too much to get it thinned out every two weeks.... I was thinking about getting a straightener, but I really don't want to have to resort to that, for fear of losing my manlyhood entirely. >.>

well to get it nice and soft use Garnier! honestly...i swear by it! and try the deep conditioners! and you may not want to or rather NEED to thin your hair! after it gets nice and smooth..it looks better when your hair is thick! i dated a guy that thinned out his hair....and because so he started going bald! so you may not wanna do that!! just try the conditioner treatments from garnier and the shampoo and it is vital that when you put the regular conditioner in your hair to comb it through your hair with a big toothed comb...it helps make it softer. and also do not rinse ALL of it out..leave just a little in your hair! it REALLY helps!!!

ok, don't thin your hair, it just grows back frizzier! use a really good conditioner with moisturizers, and blowdry, i know i know manlyhood and all but it will make the hair smoother and more manageable. blowdry while brushing in the direction you want the hair the lay. then use some anti frizz cream, but please don't thin out your hair!

you could put a chemical relaxer in it. That would smooth the frizz out and give you easier hair to work with. It would only last a few months thou.

hispanics or indians but why didn't you just put spanish it confuses a lot of people when you put the term hispanics. not for me considering im half but i know a lot of people that get confused and about the africans-americans that is extremely racist plenty of people like that kind of hair i also like that type of hair because it holds better when your doing cornrows or dreads and it looks good or what about Oprah huh what do you gotta say about her hair! it could be considered hispanic hair the way she styles it.
