Has anyone out there ever tried one of those "hair strippers" from walmart? It is suppose to take out the dye? I let one of my friends dye my hair (big mistake) and it turned out bright red. I used this dye removals and now it is a bright yellow orange. I am naturally blonde and wanting to just go back to what was "normal" but I can't very well dye this orange color blonde ...

I'm a brunette and have been thinking for a long time to try and go blonde - if thats even possible??!!?! Or should I just get blonde highlights and see how I like that - but if I were to go blonde - what would be the best way to approch this (what would be least damaging) basically how would I do it?

I have straight and healthy hair (I'm not trying to brag. I just wanna give you enough information so you can give me appropriate advice)

The problem I've been having ALL MY LIFE is it doesn't matter how I try to brush or arrange my hair, it will always point straight down. Basically, I can never make any adjustment. And, it's really annoying.

People have been telling me to put some gel to hold my hair, but then I heard it does damage your hair.

My friend said a "leave-in conditioner" helps hold your hair the way gel does, but it won't damage it.

Is that true????

Also, I've heard a leave-in conditioner is ONLY used when you think you have dry and unhealthy hair. Does it mean you're not supposed to use them if you have healthy hair.

Also, if you're using gel, you're supposed to wash it off everyday. If I start using a leave-in conditioner, do I have to wash my hair everyday???

I know there are quite a few of questions here.
But I really wanna know.
Thanks in advance.

As for as I know I am fully African American, but I have the strangest hair. For instance, I cant go along time w/o washing it bc it will look ams have that oily smell. I also cant use very many african american products or my hair will be very limp. When I blow dry it comes out relatively straight, it is just very thick, however there are not any naps or kinks. The strangest thing is that if I wash it and I dont blowdry my hair will be curly. Kind of like the curls that Eva the Diva, *black chic from America's Next Top Model* What is up with this? It can be straight, when I blow dry it, curly when I air dry it and wavy if I dry it, but if run some warm water over a hair brush. WHat is wrong with my hair?!?

I'm 34 and my hair is breaking off and falling out, I can barely run my fingers through my hair and tons will come out, and it's way worse after I wash it. I don't use any chemicals on my hair, no colors, hair spray, mousse, nothing. I can't even remember the last time that I used a hair dryer, I always let it air dry. So needless to say I've up to this point had very healthy hair. This is way way beyond the "normal" hairs that people lose. I'm wondering if maybe there is some kind of medical condition or something that may be causing this. If anyone has ever experienced this, or have any kind of information I'd really appreciate it..........and this has been going on for months now. I'm suddenly thankful for the thick hair I've always disliked!
