my hairdresser has been in the business for over 30 years and I trust her advice more than anyone's. perm first, wait at least a week and then highlight it.

I have had a perm in my hair for 24 years, so let me just say I have done it both ways! I recommend getting the perm first. The highlight seems to do more damage to your hair and the perm won't take as well with the damage that highlighting can cause. Get your perm first and then in 1 to 2 weeks, you can get your hair highlighted.

Perm first and then highlight a week or two later. The perm would take the color out of your highlights if you did them first. I color my hair and have to wait that long after a perm to color.

Highlight, then perm.
To highlight permed hair is not easy and will spoil the curls. The highlight will turn out well after perming because it will be really random.

perm then leave for two weeks then highlight. but...... if at all possible dont use bleach to high light. other than making the perm frizzy it will damage the hair. you will need to be fairly dedicated to looking after your hair with treatments and regular trims as well.

both seems are magnificent! yet what i hit upon is that many do no longer supply interest to the maintenence, through that I propose touching up the regrowth. First, your first suggestion of including the "chunky" blonde hilights on your already brown hair might want to be a lot less stressful and life like, ( probable in hardship-free words one procedure rather of two) 2d the subsequent photo your chum reported will contain including the black ( i for my section might want to bypass for a gloomy "cherry-cola ish coloration) and then you may want to operate hilights, a 2 procedure this may probable double your cost, and then for sure protecting the outgrowth. As an extra hint to all who elect to dye their hair black, that's the most perplexing procedure to "bleach out" it will turn orange and different hideous colorations till now you'll get it to "widespread" and then we do not even ought to talk the tremendous volume of damage brought about through all that, please get up to it till you're a perplexing center goth that's a glance very perplexing for most to tug off.
