same for me!
but i found a way to make the curls i do do some times last longer.
i use hot rollers
first with dry hair i part my hair were i want it and start making little sections.
i grab a piece of the hair and i spray it with Bed Head hair spray then put the roller in it( spray them before using heat this helps a ton)
I continue with the rest
then wait and fix make up call some one....
when they are all cool i take the bottoms ones out first
then my hair is way curly i loosen some and spray them again with hair spray.
DONT touch them too much or the curl will be lost.
good luck but be happy with strait hair because strait is in and so many girls are fry'n their hair to make it straight

Your hair best curls if you naturally let it air dry and if you have to blow dry it blow dry it but not completly dry. Like where its a lil damp and i mean the littlelest possible. When you curl it wiht a curling iron clip the curls ..like when you curl all the way up and with the curling ironthen let the hair fall , roll the hair back like it was in the curling iron and clip...with a little clips or bobby pins and spray with hairspray let the curls cool and then finger them through. A good curling iron that has always worked for me is the conair heat dial temp. control.

My hair is like that too... But there is a way! After washing your hair thoroughly, dry it. And then, put hair spray before and after you curl your hair with curling iron. It really works for me! Hope it works for you too..!

If you have fine hair like I do, Ive found it is helpful to use mousse first, dry your hair thoroughly, and then use hot rollers to curl your hair. Before taking the rollers out, I spray a little volumizer hair spray onto my hair roots. Then I pull out the hairdryer again and lightly dry the hairspray. Unroll your hair, and then use more hairspray to get the curls to set.

well, if you are trying to curl using those cheap curling tongs from like Phillips or Vidal Sasson.. they are likely to not work very well unless you invest in a curling tong used by professionals, I am sure tat will work on all types of hair..

Give it up. My hair won't be straight either.....we could just appreciate our differences in each other and ourselves and accept our own hair? But wait that would be too logical...... try poking your finger in a electrical socket, that should curl your hair! Just kiddin! Seriously.... I want what you have, and you want what I got....how ridiculous is that!

Maybe your hair is so thick that the specific iron cannot make it curly. You could use a better and stronger iron.

Well, you could always perm your hair, but it just depends if you want more of a tight or lose curl
