I'm a brunette and have been thinking for a long time to try and go blonde - if thats even possible??!!?! Or should I just get blonde highlights and see how I like that - but if I were to go blonde - what would be the best way to approch this (what would be least damaging) basically how would I do it?

You have to be the right type of brunette to pull it off. If you are light brown or maybe even a medium brown you should be able to. Dark brown on the other hand is very hard to get blonde. No matter what though, I can guarentee that you WILL have orange results if you try to dye it yourself at home. So you either have to go to a salon or deal with orange hair as you dye it monthly to get it lighter. And trust me that orange is not flattering on anyone. :)

I am naturally light brown but have been a blonde since I was 12 and it looks natural on me. People always tell me NO when I say I am thinking of going back to brown. Blonde just looks better on my skin tone (I'm very fair). Plus, I have long shiney hair so the blonde really looks good in the sun.

Get some heavy blonde highlights if you're not sure you want to take the jump to total blonde--if anything it will look better than going straight to all blonde because your natural color will show too.

It's really hard for brunettes to go blonde without frying hair or looking really fake. Or both. Blonde highlights tend to go kind of red eventually. But it can be done.

The best way to approach this is to have it professionally done. Blonde is hard to fake, as few people remain blonde after the age of 9.

I love dark hair. It's so beautiful, and there are so many styles that simply look better on thick dark hair.

brunette is a few distance extra valuable and this is why....many of the time once you spot a blonde and its certainly a sturdy shade..its a dye job...organic blonde isn't ever a extreme high quality fantastically shade...organic brunette's have outstanding hair colours or perhaps organic highlights...andddddddddd blond hair doesnt shine...it on no account shines its like impossible...brunette's hair shines like crazzzyyy...and whilst somebody has dark hair they only have a diff look approximately them...dont get me incorrect i dont think of every physique can pull off dark hair...i think of you'll be able to desire to be somewhat fantastically to have dark hair...blonde hair is a lot extra forgiving so maximum women look much extra valuable with blonde hair...haha thank you which would be all...

I think it would be better for you to get blonde highlights... If you color your whole head blonde, first of all, you may not like it, and second of all it probably will be more expensive than highlights. So try highlights, if you like them, then you can keep them, or wait a little while and then color your whole head blonde.... but on brunettes, i think blonde highlights do look really good!! Good Luck!!! :)

How nervous are you? :)

Firstly, decide, what is your budget?

i. Go and buy a pack of hair colour and tint your hair all over.

ii. Go to a salon and have a professional colour your hair.

iii. Have a professional give you a few blonde highlights.

iv. Lastly, buy a mousse or spray that will lighten your hair gradually in the sun.

Personally, I'd go to the salon and have a professional help me to choose a shade of blonde. After that, you can either continue to go to the salon or go match your colour to a tint box at your local chemist or supermarket. Simple.

:)

I have very dark hair. It is difficult to get my hair to turn blond. In the past attempts to color or it blond at home have resulted in orange hair. I recommend going to the salon. In my case for example, my hair has to be bleached until it's white and then colored whatever shade of blond.

you can go blonde by bleaching your hair, but that'll dry it out oto much. you can start out with blonde highlights. if you like that, you can use a platinum blonde dye afterwards, for the blonde color without drying out your hair too much.
