My daughter has the opposite problem and she just bought a hair straightener for $170.00. Too bad you two can't trade. Have you tried a perm? According to a CBS website: This year is the 100th anniversary of the perm, but today's treatments have come a long way from the perms of even the past 20 years. The goal of the perm today is to give some permanent texture and wave to straight or limp hair. It's a far more gentle process than in years past, and the amount of curl can be controlled to add just a touch of life and movement to lackluster hair.
Best of luck.
