the ring is somewhat tarnished looking because it was found outside, but we're assuming that the numbers are "925". how else could we find out the value of the ring? (cincinnati ohio area)

My friends and I are doing a science experiment and we would like to know what houshold objects would add comfort to high heel shoes such as cottonballs, etc.

I understand that “glue-on” nails can be harmful to the natural nail, especially if used on a regular basis. However, I have a banquet at my youth group this Sunday and my natural nails are really short and no matter what they look dirty. I cannot afford acrylic nails, nor do I have the time right now. Would it be alright if I get a cheap pair of glue on nails from Wal-mart or something and use them for about a week or two just for this occasion (and then some time afterwards so I get my money’s worth out of them)? I won’t be using the nails on a regular basis so I don’t think it will be too harmful to use them for this one special occasion.

Thanks for any advice.

When I go visit my mom for christmas she wants to go get either a massage or a facial-we'll do it together as part of my christmas gift. I can't decide which I want. I have had both done many times before but its been a while and I can't decide what I'd rather choose.

What would you choose? and why?

I prefer:

1) White women of height range 5' 1'' to 5' 10''.

2) Slim, i.e. with a BMI not exceeding 25.

3) Having straight thick hair (btw, they don't have to be blondes; though I have to admit loving blondes!).

4) Having a well-structured frame.

5) Light colored eyes.

6) Pale-skinned (as I don't like sun-tanned bikkini girls).

I know they could be found all over America, yet where could I find this type of women in abundance (in order to increase my chances of winning one of them!)?

I've seen them on eBay, but I want to find a retailer or even a manufacturer. Do any of the big companies (like Justin or Tony Lama) make boots for adults that are all man-made materials?

What is men's problems with make-up. Its like we see two different things. Girls like to wear lipstick and stuff, but to me, its like men say I don't like girls who wear make-up, but then when you get dressed up you wear these types. What is mens deal with make-up? I think it looks nice if you are all made-up. Men see too much, we see not enough. Why is it like this?

What is the best way to make a person cry without actually hurting them? We are doing a photoshoot that calls for the model's eyes to be puffed out, glazed over, and with tears running down her face.

Is having her breathe near a bowl of diced onions the way to go? Or does anyone have a better way to get someone to look like they've been emotionally distressed and crying?

I've thought of onions, or maybe exposure to pepper...But I would like more ideas if anyone has a good one.

Thanks.

Hiya, my hubby is a pro guitar player, and has been getting acrylic nails on his main picking fingers, following the example of some of his idols (sigh).

Basically, I bought all the professional stuff from a beauty supply store so I can do the fill-ins for him. I've had mine done before, so I know the basics.. just not sure about liquid/powder consistency. Any other tips are greatly appreciated too.

Some of my friends are condenming me because I allow my 12 year old daughter to wear makeup - eyeshadow, lipstick and nail polish.
I even allow her to get her eyebrows waxed.
She is five foot 8(because her dad is tall) and looks older than 12 so I feel there is no problem.
Of course - a lot of guys look at her, but I don't see a problem,
or, am I being too lenient on her?
I am open to criticism too, thanks!
