can someone tell me the history of this costume and the timelines it was used?

It's a modern prom or ball gown. It has only vague allusions to gowns from any historic period. The skirt is evocative of the 1860's ,but only slightly. The embroidered torso is evocative of the early 1880's, but only slightly.
The strapless bodice makes this gown incontrovertibly post WW2.
It's very pretty, but it's not suited for historical wear.
